I'm glad I'm old school when it comes to Star Wars. The only troopers I need to own are the good old Stormtroopers. I'd be losing my mind if I was into all of these misc colorful Republic guys.
Question- I just opened my VC Hoth Luke last week, and it's a great figure,.. but now I need a Tauntaun. None are pricey, there's a ton of every version on eBay, but my question is,... can anyone talk me into getting the most recent version that came in the VC box? We're only talking a difference of $8-$12 here, but all I need is a Tauntaun for Luke to stay warm. The PoTF version looks pretty good and is a little cheaper. Anyone have anything to share about Tauntauns?

It seems that's always the way I feel about the Vintage figures I actually want. I almost never see them. In part I'm glad Vintage is going away for awhile.

I pretty much feel the same way. Best case scenario, there's a figure I want and I find it not until months after it was released. Everything else that is a pass or a "meh, I guess I'll buy it" seems to come out on time haha

Also, I think that because VC is aimed mainly at collectors it has been one of the most scalped toy lines out there. I often see evidence that the "rare" figure I want have been at the store (i.e. other figures in the wave) but I never actually see them, not even at the LCBS. Only saw Bastila once and that was the first figure I bought. Malgus is a myth as far as I'm concerned. People claim he exists but I don't believe them.

I guess this should be Star Wars enough for the thread.

He's no myth, but he's just sitting on my microwave, waiting for something to splash on him and ruin the card so I'll reluctantly open him and stick him with Vader and Maul- currently they're fighting the Black Knight and Doctor Strange. It's funny- they made him a "shiney"! Find me a pair of Shae Vizlas, bro! I got plans for her and her awesome accessories! Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 08-15-2012 at 02:47 AM.. |

loving the new Shae and Malgus figures. Not to happy how a lot of the recent figures have been in a smaller scale. But they work well with my Alien Figures!

Where'd you get the Aliens from? scalewise they look perfect- a bit over 7' tall when standing straight up (which they never do except in a cut scene).

those aliens are from china...they suck so hard, amazing sculpts but one you have to put them together piece by piece and then you have to be super careful because they are fragile.

Awww...bummer.
Still...you cold brinbe Noodlechow into making them more sturdy- guy's amazing with taht stuff: added rockers to his Showdown thing. We all want a super articulated Alien fig in 1:18th scale. Then you can repaint the Cap line tank into an APC!

The Aliens Figures were made by Hot Toys, hard to find yes, suck...no they don't...but thats just my opinion. I also have the Appleseed Hot Toys in this scale...those are sweet as well...totally forgot I had them till I was going through all my 3'3/4 inch scale figures today

Im done with looking for star wars stuff at retail, this has gotten old,not one store I have gone to in the last 4 or 5 months has restocked,no lie, looks like the LCS will be getting my money, better a small markup and have the figure then less of a price but no figure to buy.
