Because y'know, Christmas in July or whatever that phrase is.
That holiday season policy stuff is BS (not Black Series!). I had someone near me get them to hold one at TRU hear. Last year I'd call one store and they'd say 'Nope' and another would gladly hold it. You'd figure that during hate holiday season they'd advertise a policy like that to help everyone get those hard to find items for their kids. They're going to sell no matter what.

Is the Snow Trooper not in the same case as Phasma? I thought they were all part of wave 2?

No the Snowtrooper (neither this TRU exclusive nor the upcoming regular one) is not part of wave 2 nor is it being shipped with wave 2, I think Phantomcrow is right in that it's being put into wave 1 to replace the Stormtrooper like what Walgreens did with their early handling of the Proto-Fett. It sounds right especially considering how many wave 1 figures my TRU had yesterday except for the Stormtrooper.

Well that makes a lot of sense.

Hey, let's replace the Stormtrooper which people can buy multiple and army build, with the rare exclusive. Because everyone's going to want multiple of this "Flin" guy.

We can't even troop build the regular trooper that easily since he's only per case, at least he's being redistributed in future waves.

Found these at TRU. Peg was full of them. I already ordered two but grabbed one because I couldn't' resist.

From what you have said before yes your TRU sucks & probably needs new management.

They don't completely suck since they get most NECA exclusives but then they drop the ball on pretty much anything Hasbro. They are so terrible that they got like 8 cases of the Obi Wan wave and he is the only one that didn't sell so this led them to get absolutely no new 6" figures until Force Friday where they decided to only get the one case of 6" figures. As a sick punch to the gut they never once put the real clone army (of Obi Wan) on clearance and just let them collect dust, then the week before Force Friday they were all gone so I thought they just maybe sent 'em down a few stores to the local Ross but no. The next week after Force Friday all of the Obi Wan toys were back on the pegs just as dusty as ever, the clone army had returned. And there they still sit to this day...

Don't feel bad En Sabah. My TRU has yet to get in any Black Series figures associated with TFA. Those pegs are still filled with full priced Greedos.

The Phantom Menace had a good trailer because it played on the hype of a new Star Wars film after so long and it didn't highlight any of the idiotic stuff like Jar Jar. Of course then the final movie did have a lot of annoying kid appeal with young Anakin and Jar Jar. To add insult to injury Darth Maul, the face of advertising for the movie, was only there for like 10 minutes before he got cut in half. The only good stuff in TPM was either hardly there or dies before the credits roll which cuts them out of future films (Liam Neeson as Qui Gon Jinn and Darth Maul). I've said it before but there was honestly NO reason to have a character like Jar Jar to bring in kid appeal since Star Wars was already hugely popular with everyone who saw the originals and since most of them were parents when TPM came out they would've taken their kids to see it anyway. I was young when TPM came out and I sure as hell didn't need a cartoony frog/duck man to draw me in to see it.

Also, like I've said before if The Force Awakens turns out to be not-so-good then the two 'J's in J.J. Abrams name will forever more stand for Jar Jar.

I agree. The prequels gave us occasional gems of what I would call 'authentic' Star Wars, but we suffered through hours of insipid, insulting garbage to reach them.

It's said in some circles that J.J. brought Star Wars to Star Trek, and there is some merit to that. What I hope is that he doesn't pull the same antic with Star Wars. There's a lot of scuttlebutt that Han, probably the most important character in the entire franchise, is going to die. Does anyone else shudder at the thought of "Star Wars 8: The Search for Han?"

....anddddd..i must be the second geekiest around...
I just went to the theater and bought my tickets for 8pm on Dec 17th.
I say the second because you can see which seats were taken, and of all the showtimes only 2 other seats were taken, so one person bought them before me.

If the IMAX 3D tickets for the Force Awakens premier sell out before my friends can agree on the 7 or 10 showing, I'm going to be livid !
December 18th (actually 17th for IMAX ) can't come soon enough, especially after watching that new trailer.

It's their exclusive thing and they just packed them in with a restock of wave 1 and only elected to get two of it. Plus they don't have the free store pick up option online so I can't check if any other stores within driving might have them.
It's a shame that no one at Hasbro had the foresight to consider that the Walgreens exclusive Black Series Vader repaint, which most likely isn't exactly going to be high in demand, would probably be better suited as a TRU exclusive, since TRU's inability to actually receive their exclusives may actually fuel demand for the figure, lol.

Meanwhile, the Snow Trooper Officer (the figure that so many of us actually want) would have been perfect for Walgreens, since they typically have exclusives in abundance. That way, we could all troop build guilt-free

My biggest fear for the series is one that is glaring in nearly all of the Marvel/Disney MCU films...the villians will be disposable, and will not survive long enough for us to have any empathy for their reasoning as to why they do what they do.

Darth Maul. Count Dooku. Jango Fett. Boba Fett. Even Anakin Skywalker (who turned, and in a moment's instant...was Darth Vader.) Should I go on? Let's not even get started on the Marvel Villians, which has been a revolving door into a casket. At least the Fox X-Men movies have done that right...

And that death of Han rumor might have some clout to it...if you watch 1:45 into the trailer, you can see Rey shedding tears over someone's body. You can also see Chewie's bandolier in the shot, so we either have a dead Han, or even worse yet...a dead wookie on our hands.

Way to spoil that one Disney...I didn't even need to wait for one of those stories that over-analyze movie trailers from various outlets to spot that one.

You can also spot an un-helmeted and very frustrated Kylo Ren at the tail end of the trailer locked in saber combat...so, I'm willing to bet that shot happens about 9 seconds before he himself is decapitated.

I'll wait for the final film to pass judgement, but I would be lying if I said that I wasn't disappointed.

That score though...wow. That was an epic mix. That got me more pumped than anything.
