Dreadnox strikes again. Agree 100% re: soft goods on these little guys. Fabric just doesn't 'hang' properly. Oh well, the collection must go on... |

Well the 3.75 inch black series (as well as the 6 inch) is completely aimed at collectors. Thus the higher price point and higher articulation. They want kids to buy the cheep 5 poa figures and be happy. Now I agree , making them exclusive to wal mart is just dumb. They should be released to any online toy seller or store that sells to a collectors market.

The higher price point came into play when they became walmart exclusives starting with the commander doom wave. eliminate competition and raise prices. YAY! I'm actually suprised how well these have been selling. I figured vader, luke and chewie would be clogging shelves for months. |

In my area they are clogging pretty much, not completely but enough to count.

I was actually surprised but my Wal-Mart did stock a case of wave 2 out this past week even though the pegs were still full of wave 1, they brought out another peg just for the excess so none would end up sitting on the shelves below. So who knows but it's a possibility that even with pegs full already they might crack open some new stuff anyway.

Just missed Phasma on Amazon again. She was available for order, and when I clicked on add to cart, it told me that the item was out of stock. I can't catch a break haha. |

I was amazed how quickly we sold like 4 cases of W1 of the 3.75 Black series. We get 5 cases of W2, everything but half the Leia's sold then suddenly we get 3 more cases of W1 the other night. |

Does anyone else see the current, chronic supply trouble as a deliberate, methodical strategy for market manipulation? I'm reminded of the marketing hype for i-gadgets that motivates morons to camp outside electronics stores. If there's a constant perception of limited supply, it triggers hoarding psychology. It doesn't matter how crummy the product might be: the sheeple mind thinks "Gotta get as much as I can while it's still available." |

I'd agree, but for the fact that Hasbro is having distribution issues with a lot of lines, even other companies seem to be getting behind, like playmates with TMNT, and Mattel with multiverse. I'm getting some sort of shipping, dock worker, supplier issue vibe lately, probably on the Chinese end with dock worker and factory pay rising I'm sure they're cutting back hours and employees to maintain cost.

all I want is the 3.75 Black Series Rylo, all I see are the Lukes, Chewies and Vaders. I keep trying to convince myself to buy a couple of the 5 POA figures but I just can't do it. Though I'll probably break down with the Guvarion (sp) figure if I see it. |

That sucks man. That happened to me when I ordered Nova from the Guardians wave. He had two right arms, and Amazon couldn't replace it because they never had any in stock. They did cut the price in half for me though, if I recall correctly.

This is a surprising case of the Japanese import actually coming out to less than the Hasbro version just because of how insanely jacked up Maul's prices are on the second-market.
