My God. The backdrop is an unlockable? That's ridiculous. That could have easily been a standard part of the packaging. I don't know. I love the Rancor, but this HasLab has been handled very poorly so far. Oh well.

Well, what can they reveal? Will Disney "Don't Call it Slave 1" Company allow them to release a "slave" like Oola or Leia?

Tier 3 is probably the friggin bone Luke used plus maybe Luke himself and Tier 4 Rancor Keeper, or Tier 4 will be Luke.

This thing will succeed sadly.

I bet we're not getting Oola. Tier 3 is probably Luke and tier 4 is the rancor keeper if we're lucky. Hasbro must be getting nervous and revealed this next goal early since backer numbers are way below where they need to be with just 21 days left. We haven't even hit the minimum goal yet, let alone any of the stretch goals. I'm sure we'll hit the minimum goal and MAYBE the 1st or 2nd stretch goal, but it's not looking good at this point for reaching tiers 3 and 4. Oola is the only thing that could probably drive the numbers way up at the end.

i hope "Jabba's Dancer" Oola (...definitely NOT Slave Oola) doesn't pop up as a tier because I don't want to have to buy this thing or pay $$$ secondary for her. I think she would be able to succeed on her own in a wave at retail vs someone like the Rancor Keeper (...who HAS to be an unlock at some point-)

Oola will never ever get a retail release with Disney in charge and their overzealous political correctness so as not to offend stupid parents like that one that made a big fuss in the media a few years ago when he saw Slave Leia on store pegs. It's the same reason we aren't getting a 1/6 scale Slave Leia from Hot Toys. Offering Oola as a Haslab tier was our only hope of ever getting this figure in the 6" scale.

One of those skulls is Oola's based on the headdress. That's surprisingly morbid. I wonder if that's a hint that there's still hope of getting her or if this skull is all we'll ever get for that character.

The numbers have actually dropped 30 or so after the announcement. That is poetic.

I've wondered about that. Numbers were dropping and fluctuating a couple weeks ago one day for the GI Joe Skystriker too. It must be from people having second thoughts and cancelling their orders before this thing gets funded and they are locked in for being charged.

Well, we're still supposedly getting Aayla Secura in TBS (and a TVC CLone Wars colors is coming) but I guess Aayla isn't in a skimpier outfit than Oola and Leia.

We haven't seen season 1 Ahsoka yet, though.

We probably never will either, but I'd like to at least get her season 3-6 outfit (the one she wore the most that is most iconic) for both the TVC line, 6" black series line, AND as a Hot Toys figure to go with the Clone Wars Anakin and Obi-Wan figures.

Yeah this is pretty lame overall. I'm glad it's something for the Rancor, but they could've at least made the grate/chute on the left side functional, or just something so it's not just a backdrop.

I?m sure people that buy Black Series are in it for the articulation right? Why are the unlocks set pieces you can 3D print and not an articulates figure instead? Tier 2 unlocks are dumb, you can literally replace those with any skull from a anywhere and won?t make a big difference.

I've occasionally been keeping tabs on the count, and the Rancor was 5092 2 days ago on Sat 11/13 around 4:30pm CST. So a little over 48 hours later its at 5101, just NINE more than on Saturday. Of course we've already been seeing some cancellations today too causing the count to DROP rather than increase more. I think it was at 5109 earlier today after Hasbro revealed the next tier. This is not good at all.

It blows my mind that they think running 3 concurrent Haslabs is a good idea JUST after closing on two others. Holy shit give people a minute. And these three end just before Christmas, I mean come on.

The backdrop would have been cool if the door in the back and the grate slid open.

Well, I actually backed out. If this gets funded, they will get empowered to charge any absurd amount of money for the smallest piece of plastic.
Still do not get why they want this project to flop. I mean, they are basically boycotting it with the restrictive price and cheap add ons.

Not only that... Take the huge amount of released figures lately. If you collect multiple lines, you are f'd

Completely agree. I don?t know if many collectors look around at each other, but most of us collect multiple lines. Between Walmart, Amazon and BBTS have been hammered with starwars, marvel, ghostbusters, power rangers and GI joe. Not to mention the $700 Optimus and add on the Neca and super7 stuff.

Then tack on the galactus haslab just finishing and adding 3 more haslab is getting out of hand. It?s almost like the toy companies are trying to get everything out before the toy prices become unsustainable. I do believe that?s coming. Honestly not just prices?.but space. I have huge toy rooms?.and I?m out of space. I never thought we?d get these huge playsets and vehicles. Never.

Yeah totally, I guess I have to hope that these few things, like Sentinels and Galactus are one and done. I can't think of any other huge Marvel thing I'd get and beyond the Rancor I think I'd be done. Maybe an X-Wing but I'd try to hang that somewhere at least lol.

I mostly collect just Marvel Legends comic based figs with a few sporadic purchases from other lines that fit in the 6' ML scale & I still haven't gone in on any of Hasbro's Haslab projects. I'm a SW fan but not die hard like some here, so this was a no buy from the get go. $350 seems steep imo, $250 shoulda been the price of this figure.

The number of backers is actually head the other way, so way to go Hasbro. What in the Hell is this crap? A cardboard backdrop and a bag of frickin' bones? The bones should have been included with the Guard. That would have made that much more digestible. The backdrop could have been part of the packaging just like they've done many times before, so no stretch goal required. We aren't getting Oola and we're not getting Slave Leia because it's just not going to happen given Hasbro cares more about what 0.001% of the population on Twitter thinks than the people who actually investing in this thing. We're either going to get a tweaked Luke and Rancor Keeper or Luke and something else (there are 4 tiers right?). I'd be shocked if Luke weren't one of them given he's already tooled. I'd be equally shocked if the Keeper weren't one of them, as well. I knew we'd get a bone but I figured it would be packed in with Luke and not the slap in the face we got.

Hasbro, I'm done. I'm canceling this crap unless you make it right, and I'm refunding Galactus as punishment for being dumb. I'll stick with the Razorcrest, because I'm probably giving up on Black Series anyway, so you can keep them.

I'm sticking with it but I don't like it.

They're supposed to reveal the fully painted prototype and the last two tiers on Friday.

The Rancor itself is awesome. The teaser pic for the painted prototype looks amazing.

But the problems are both the price and the stretchgoals. And they coexist, because we all know we already pay for the stretchgoals, doesn't matter if they are reached or not. The price they are asking already covers everything they plan to include, and since what they plan to include sucks so far, you're paying extra for something mediocre which might not even be included in the package.

The way I see it, shave off the price by a hundred, make the first stretchgoal something actually desirable (Malakili) and you're set. The way things are going now make me actually a bit afraid it might fail.
