Let's use this thread as an all purpose discussion for new Star Wars (TBS, TVC, Retro) info in 2024. Basically Hasbro Star Wars. Some side chat is ok, just try to keep it focused on the new stuff!

Update: Pre-Orders for the Retro Collection figures are now live at Hasbro Pulse...but just wait a month and they'll be clogging Ollies.

At $3.99 these are kinda fun. Kinda, as in, still have sloppy paint ops, loose joints out of the package and serves me right for opening them, since they weren't meant for that. |

Nice Droideka, but that’s not how you put it into roll mode. What are they doing?! Can it even?

I typically don't complain about prices these days because it's just a sign of the times...but 50 dollars for the Sabine/Chopper 2 pack is absolutely insane.

When the Retro collection pipeline reveal is the most newness in 4 inch scale.
Seriously, with these TVC reveals and the new 4" kid aimed line, it's mostly the same characters ad nauseam. And at the price they are asking, easy to skip. |

Yep. I thought $40 at most. Especially with chopper being a straight repaint. I remember when Star Wars went from $4.99 to $5.99….that was so awful back in the 90’s….if only I knew what was coming….of course who could see the sale to Disney and new shows and films galore?

Yeah and we'll get to see it from WorldClassBullshitters on youtube. I think Hasbro may have sold maybe 10 eternal figures, the rest ended up at Ollies.

I Just wish Amazon would get more The Mandalorian (Glavis Ringworld), The Book of Boba Fett figure in stock again for pre-order. Everyone who has it says its the definitive Din-Djarin
It's always currently unavailable or some 3rd party scalper wants twice what it's price is |

I hate how that guy shills his weird Harrison Ford fanfic comic in every video, but I gotta admit he brings the goods when showing how pitiful Hasbro’s toylines are doing!

I get annoyed when he passes by stuff my Ollies never gets, like TVC anything. He's walking past a rack of Echo Base Rebels for $4 each. Yeah, that fanfic "A Captain's parody" what does that even mean? |

I guess he's gotta make money somehow. Yeah, it's very entertaining and eye-opening for some people that a lot of Hasbro's toy lines are failing miserably. Hasbro doesn't actually care as long as they make money, that is why their distribution is so bad.

I'm just glad we never see any of the expanded universe star wars figures in ollies. It's all Original Trilogy and Sequel Trilogy junk mixed in with Disney+ junk. I do own a few Din Djarin figures as well as Cara Dune figures.

I agree, but I haven't been much of a vehicle buyer since before the Dark Times. And that's when vehicles were reasonable.
Still, people will defend it. "If you think it's too expensive, then you don't want vehicles in TVC." Meh, hyperbole aside, pay what you think something is worth. If you aren't getting $100 out of it, then it's not for you. I thought the MOTU Origins Eternia was a neat thing to remake, but I'd never get $600+ enjoyment out of it. The E-Wing I'd skip at $50. I've no connection to it. |

I had the E-Wing on preorder, but after a lot of thought decided to cancel it because it's not worth $100, it's worth around $30. Hasbro should dump all Disney related merchandise, Disney themselves are going fown in flames and hoping to take others with them. Just cut them loose.

$70 set with a repacked Ahsoka and 3 astromechs. Nah, Hasbra, you can sit on it.
How many hundreds of astromechs have they made including the Disney Hasbro and non-Hasbro ones? I often skipped them back when I actually bought TVC at full price. It was a good episode, but you'd think Order 66 would have some clones in it. I guess they made the relevant ones already. |
