I’ll agree with you there. Sebastian Shaw will always be my ghost Anakin. The official explanation for the special edition change never held water to me. If Anakin ”died when he was young” then who the shit did Luke unmask at the end of Jedi? Anyhow, dead horse…

As for the reveals, the N-1 is about the only thing that truly that piqued my interest. I’m equal parts hopeful and doubtful the TBS R2 is all new (i.e., properly scaled).

Agreed. It was merely a thoughtless attempt to "bring the six films together" and it failed miserably.

The only thing that pisses me off about the N-1 is that hasblo should have included the R5-D4 head. At that price, it wouldn't have killed them. Now people have to hunt for the head or the whole figure on the dreaded secondary market and the scalpers are just going to raise the price for R4 and laugh.

Everyone is saying that the TBS R2-D2 is "finally the correct scale", so we shall see.

Anyone has an idea as to why the tvc Black Krssantan is only $5 cheaper than the black series one? Something doesn't seem to add up.

From what I understand, other than more plastic, black series is actually more profitable to make. The tiny joints on vintage are more complex and require more work.

The vintage figure actually looks better to me. When it comes to the vintage collection, we are getting some of the best sculpted, best articulated and best likenesses we have ever seen. This is tough to accomplish at such a small scale.

What carries the vintage collection is the world building. You just can’t do it in the larger scales.

I finally found a few vintsge collection death troopers at target last weekend buy could not believe they rang up to $30 after tax. Had to pass too rich for my blood as toys for me are not Veblen goods

Yeah I've seen some of the 6" scale ships and they are just gigantic. I actually like how small the mission fleet vehicles are for the sake of storage or even displaying

Not really. To world-build, you need playsets. hasblo no likey playsets, and I'm not talking about the little dioramas and such.

on Ghost Anakin: don't know what, uh, 'policy' there is regarding the pre-Special Edition Star Wars.

but I do know one of the original Kenner figures was Anakin painted in a way that looks kinda 'ghost-ly'. and Hasbro has been able to do vintage Kenner tribute figures so maybe there's a possibility there?

Highly unlikely. lucasfilm would only allow a hayden likeness since that is the "official" look of the character now. Sebastian Shaw was posthumously kicked to the curb to accommodate george's "vision." There will never be an official figure of Shaw again, other than the unmasked Vader, which itself has been altered.
