The new sculpt on the Vader helmet is GREAT. But that goofy asymmetrical cell shading is just weird. I'm not a fan of the primarily silver deco either.

I agree but that's how they did it for lighting in the movies.

Well... There you go. I'm surprised as to not be tempted at all by anything on a May The Fourth, but there it is. The Leia figure and the Bith band members look neat, but don't fit the collection I have curated. I'm sure they will be excellent additions to someone's collection.

When they said "187th", I thought it'd be the 187th Legion: Mace Windu's troops. Well, doesn't matter, it's a Walgreens exclusive so no one will ever see it anyway. Just like the 212th that was announced a long time ago.

That Anakin's TERRIBLE!

Me too. I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out. Third time's a charm, right?

You're right. And I get it. That makes sense for forcing (heh) lighting effects in film. But it's totally weird on a finished display piece. It just looks like a mistake in deco application.

Sometimes designers get so stuck in their bubble that they lose perspective. If they are only showing the proposed designs to colleagues withing their design group the final product can become a situation in which they are drinking their own Kool Aid.

During the the Livestream the team seemed as if they were trying to convince themselves their design decisions were the best route. "You guys just don't know how excited we are." was said several times. And they are probably sincere. But after the third or fouth reiteration the sentiment seemed forced (bad pun totally intended). To me, anyway.

Its accurate to the screen used helmet. Most people probably aren't aware that the helmet isnt all black.

Right, it comes down to a question of making the item totally screen accurate, or accurate to how the audience/fans perceive it. We discuss this to death in Fett costuming too, trying to find the exact paint colors they used vs what LOOKS right, because what looked a certain way in studio lighting isn't going to match someone like me walking outside or in a convention hall.

Ewok dress Leia looks really good. I'm still surprised they are doing this particular outfit of hers in the 6" line. I think all that's left at this point is the Bespin Leia dress.

Now that they are doing her, we need more ewoks. I'm surprised we still haven't at least gotten Wicket yet.

I just realized Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes is a SEVEN members band.

Figrin D’an (Kloo horn),

Nalan Cheel (Bandfill),

Tedn Dahai (Fanfar),

Tech M’or (Ommni box),

Ickabel G’ont (Double Jocimer) and

Sun’il Ei’de (drums).

They're missing Doikk Na’ts (Dorenian Beshniquel),

Yeah, smart of them to include the various instrument options to encourage "army building" of this figure. I'll be getting several of this figure to assemble a mostly complete band for display.

Endless repaints for the most part.

And WTF is with that Leia. Looks like the Endor Leia wearing a cheap wig. And why does she look like she smelled a fart?

I'm sure he'll be along eventually as a Target exclusive.
Even better -- a Walgreens exclusive.

Or even better, a $300 box set of all 7 that's a Disney Store Exclusive which they'll cancel your order while telling you how much they appreciate you as a customer.

I definitely have to get that NR security droid. And I'm glad they're teasing HK-87 as well. Now, if only they'd get around to showing us the black series Aayla they teased a few months ago. And isn't this the second or third time they've teased Mando Luke?

I'm so glad I've always disliked the look of Phase 3 armor... it made me never want to buy any phase 3 clone troopers at any scale. I've always liked Phase 1 armor from the early seasons of The Clone Wars cartoon the best.

I can't believe the cantina band is expected to be a better seller than some old EU stuff. Throw us a bone here.
