Hyper realism is a legit reason to give an ultimate baddie who is super muscular super muscles. Let’s face it, ALL the Storm Collectibles figures suffer from hyper realism. That what happens when you are making toys of products from the 80’s and 90’s where exaggeration was the norm. I think it looks fantastic. 100x better than the classic version.

Remember, the main market for Storm collectibles is China. This is what sells in china. Therefore, this is what they make. If a few westerners on a forum don’t like it, they have McFarlane as an option. I still see his Shao Kahn cooling on clearance shelves at my local target.

Agreed on the 80's/90's bigger than life representations, however, it’s hard to take Mortal Komabt seriously and I’ve no investment in playing arbiter over what is, or isn’t a proper depiction. As an acolyte of Sega, SNK and Capcom fighters, even as a teen, I never really regarded Midway’s game as anything more than spoof after having played it often in the arcade and on home consoles. And now that we are 11 games in, I still regard it as a game meant for casuals. Lol that’s certainly going to rile some fanboys…

Its no that they are too muscular. Thats a moot point. Any sculpter who knows how to sculpt muscles knows this figure is incorrectly sculpted. Again I know alot of people will look at this and be super happy with it. But when you know anatomy and a see bad anatomy it is like bright lights in your eye. Hard to look at.

Storm has done alot of great sculpts. Even on over muscled figures.. this one is done wrong. If it doesn't bother you , Great! But as someone waiting for a good Shoa Kahn figure..This is trash!

looks ok
i have been disappointed with storms MK line. the ninjas are smaller than other franchises. street fighter ryu stands taller and thicker, making the ninjas look puny as fuck. and the heads are tiny.
