They did recently acquire another license outside of SF and MK. They will be doing King of Fighters as well.

Injustice is likely a multi part license. You would have to license the game itself from Netherrealm and then have to get a DC based license as well. I know WB and DC are all one company, but that doesn't necessarily simplify licensing. I have a feeling that's why we haven't seen anything for the second game.

Do you think there's any chance we could see anything from injustice 2? If not that then maybe an older game like MK vs. DC? I would really like to see storm collectibles take on some DC characters

I don't think it's likely, especially MK vs DC. That definitely requires multiple licenses and a willingness of companies to license it. I don't see that ever happening for MK vs DC at this point.

Well this sucks nice to talk about it though! There's something else I've been wondering and it's about the halo license. I know mattel has it right now but do you think any other company could acquire it? I really would like to see the halo line done right because in my opinion it lost traction after the reach series ended

Right now, Mattel has the master rights to retail Halo toys. So anyone else who wants to produce items would have to get approval from Mattel. There are likely some exceptions for any scales that Mattel isn't producing, like the Jakks Pacific Big Figs. But, for the foreseeable future, it's going to mainly be Mattel in North America for Halo.

Also, welcome aboard!

Would love a Blanka also...but i'm for the most part strictly player 1 colors.

we were referencing CHARACTER SELECTION... which makes 4 figures released for Street Fighter. i agree with the rest of what you were saying though. The hot Ryu is much better than just a repaint! but i wasn't going there.
I love the MK figs too but i did not want 4 of the same figures colored differently (even though initially in the game this is all they were). I'll pick up the newly sculpted Scorpion and a subzero if they make it. I even cancelled my pre-order for reptile. I'm just sticking with Noob for now...until Shao Kahn is out.

injustice is STILL fighting...and how about lets be happy we're getting THREE lines of what seems to be great figures with and even greater selection on the horizon....instead of always WANTING MORE... DAMMIT THEY ARE GIVING US MORE NOW!!

If they are so keen on releasing variants, then I want a Cyborg Akuma (complete with multiple arms) and a Mecha Zangief

I currently have Sub-Zero, Ryu, M Bison, and Zangief. I think these may be my favorite figures at the moment. They are a little overpriced in my opinion, but that isn't stopping me from wanting more!

I will likely only collect the figures I actually play with, and I will not be picking up any figures that are SFV only. I vaguely remember hearing that they got the SF license in addition to the SFV license, so I am planning to stick with the original 12 ignoring Akuma for as long as possible. He just never really interested me...

I will say with the obvious exception of OG Guile, I am most looking forward to Cyrax, Shao Kahn, and Goro. That may even complete my MK wants, but I am looking forward to seeing Raiden with Storm collectibles level of detail as well.

YES! So glad I held off on Lion-Akuma, I knew a classic look had to be a no-brainer for them!
