They've messed-up, Chu-Li isn't supposed to look like a tranny. Getting her crazy thicc legs to look right isn't all that easy after all.

Not sure why the hate. I think she looks great. Sucks that she’s a con exclusive, especially with the Rain and Smoke exclusives as well.

But there is always hope. Everyone just needs to hold out hope amd not pay scalpers who sell them right after the con. They will be available on BBTS and other sites for under $100 like Ermac was. Might take a few extra weeks but they do come in stock.

I'm not sure if the body parts for the Battle Dress Chun are a new sculpt or if they are reused, however I do have the original Storm Chun-Li, and the legs, while mighty, are not as large and pronounced in hand as the photos make them.

I think she looks great personally...though having the original, I'll probably be passing on this.

Is Storm running into budget issues where the pricepoints for their standard releases are not paying for the overhead and they are resorting to making as many figure con exclusive as possible to increase their profit margin?
I agree, it's pretty strange considering they also released an alt color of the default costume of her and that wasn't exclusive. I remember the original figure have some controversy about the face sculpt so perhaps it didn't actually sell well.

Street Fighter V Chun-Li Battle Costume, so called “Hot Chun-Li”, a brand new design...
Oh rubbish. This isn’t a new design (it’s basically a slight variation on her SF IV “alternate” costume) and it’s far less “battle” ready than her normal qipao outfit.

And yeah, Capcom’s models have been weird lately, but no one seemed to care until Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.

I think the Chun Li looks awesome. Looks pretty accurate to the game, imo. And damn..that articulation! I'm not in the action figure game as much as I used to be, so I am new to this Storm company.

No it doesn't, it looks bad ass! And on point with the source material. Plus her other figures are chunky too, so what gives?

It is...for Street Fighter II. You know, back before she looked like something from a pornographic Brazilian comic book.

It's not the source for this particular figure.

What I have issue with is the freakishly short torso but like others have said it is spot on to the ingame model as well as other figures have had that too. Like the Neca version which I have and whenever I put her in a deep stance pose, forget it, she looks like something out of Tod Browning's Freaks.
I prefer Koto's approach with the look, where they have all the craziness with the curves but still maintain a balance between her upper and lower halves-even if that makes her a little off model to how she appeared in the game.

I haven't been much of a fan of the blood splatter alts, but Ill definitely bite for the opportunity to get the Ermac, smoke, and rain colorways. Hope chun-li gets some similar non-attendee option. I've been looking forward to that version since it's reveal and now I'm a little worried about how the Bison will get released.

It's weird seeing people complain about the Chun-Li figure because it looks on-model to how she appears in the game. She's had very muscular legs ever since her first appearance, and it makes sense because her signature moves mostly revolve around kicks. Where there's thunder thighs, there's lightning kicks :P
On the other hand, the MK Ninjas are far too buff and they weren't that muscular in the MK1 through MK3 games.

I WANT that Chun Li.. and I don't have to explain myself to you.

Hurricanes are a b**** to sit through, BTW. My heart goes out to anyone still suffering from the flooding.
