Kinda funny they made Taki her usual sexiness but as usual toned down Mai Shiranui's.

I guess that's all on SNK, really, though. Like how Capcom is now making SF2 Cammy figures with tights on sometimes.

They toned down Mai's face, not Mai's chest. Looked like an almost down syndrome Mai.

Taki's Player One outfits have always had visible nipples under her clothing since before the hardware was able to competently render that detail.

I never even noticed them on her in-game model in Soul Edge (Blade) until I saw her pre-rendered model in the cinema intro.

That's forward thinking.

I just saw the full photos on another site. The unmasked face sculpts are really good. But, something does feel off about the leg, not to mention the leg joints being so visible even in her neutral pose. I am not sure I understand how SC works. I have their Tyris figure, and that one doesn't look odd in proportions, or have the leg joints visible. Why opt for something like this when you already have a good design. Oh well, might skip this one.

To me, the legs feel shorter or disproportionate. For an example, consider the following images:-

In all of them, the legs look long enough and the proportions look more aesthetically pleasing. In this figure, it looks wonky.

As for new designers for legs, I am ok if it is an improvement. But, you can clearly see the leg connector joints here even in her neutral pose when the previous design does not. Then it is not an improvement. So I am all for giving new jobs, but it has be ensured that they do good jobs too.

She's clearly stockier than that art in basically all assets. Maybe they didn't want her to come off too tall in the line, or making her that tall and think might lead to breakage?

Yes, I think what you say might be the reason. But, I feel that if they had increased the length of the leg above or below the knee just a bit more, the proportions would have regained that appearance without risking any breakage.

I gotta agree that the figure does not look as streamlined as it should. And id be happy if the females were taller cause cammy and chunli figs were laughably small.

Chun seemed pretty big to me. Towers over the SOTA and Figuarts versions and is larger than the old Capcom vs SNK version

Her little gut is kinda cute. Makes her look realistic especially since this is a Taki in her 30s.
