2) Articulation. No one wants an unposable statue and Kenner level articulation just isn't going to cut it. I think that is part of why FreshMonkey's Amazing Heroes will fail or if lucky just pass the goal. I get "retro" but you can be retro looking and articulated. Action figures in the 60's sucked, why recreate the suckitude?
Could not disagree more. Skeleton Warriors is freakin' sweet. I think the new Baron Dark looks awesome, and it actually got me to discover the original cartoon and figures for the first time. And depending on the figure itself, I don't care about articulation.

Same here, I posted a thread updating their Kickstarter in hopes of getting more people involved. I think the figures look awesome.

Street Fighter Kickstarter Relaunch - All Series 1 Figures - The Toyark - News

This one is for all of the figures, instead of just Ryu.

Please help spread the word and back this project if your are interested! There is no risk funding, as no one is charged until we meet our goal, so what does anyone have to loose?! Its open to everyone everywhere, all the characters plus a bonus exclusive Ken figure when you buy a set.

Thanks for the continued support!

I'm pulling for toy guys, it's a very high goal though, but you are giving fans a chance once again and addressed the criticisms of the first kickstarter.

Wish you guys the best, it looks incredible.

It seems like Rocco is setting himself up for failure once again. The goal (over half a million dollars) is unfeasible. He is asking to raise more money than any other action figure kickstarter has ever raised. And the only reason that the Boss Fight Vitruvian HACKS and Marauder Task Force were able to raise as much as they did (and STILL not half a million dollars) was that they had so much variety, accessories, and army builders to tack on. It gave 3.75" collectors a reason to keep adding more and more and upping their pledges. They also included some big ticket one-of-a-kind pledge incentives, such as original head sculpts and master prototypes to help add large chunks of money to the pot. The Street Fighter kickstarter has none of the above. The Four Horseman, a very well-established and beloved by the community design studio, was barely able to raise $300,000 for their highly-detailed, beautifully sculpted line of original figures. What makes Rocco think that he can almost double that?

The options and incentives just aren't there, not to mention that the kickstarter itself looks amateurish. Consider that all three of the previously mentioned successful action figure kick starters (the three most successful action figure kickstarters ever, I believe) also all ended with around 1,200 backers. Now consider that to reach $550,000, Capo Toys would need nearly twice that number (2,391 backers) to pledge at the $230 level to succeed. I see lots of people pledging lower for one figure, but very, very few pledging higher than the sets of two (Really, who would want 30 or 60 of the same figures? Who is this aimed at? Resellers? The set of two of each is actually a great deal though, considering it's only $70 more for six more figures).

The short version: I highly doubt that this kickstarter will be funded, but best of luck to Capo Toys.

This could succeed, but only if Rocco is more proactive and tries to get the FGC involved. This story posted early this morning for me, and it's mid afternoon now and there is still no mention of it on popular fighting game sites like Eventhubs. There has been a good amount of contributions thus far, but like the poster above me said, unless Rocco is able to target an audience, this will crash and burn again. At least having the adoration and backing of the thousands of fans who still play these games and love Street Fighter would help them inch closer towards their goal, and give them (and I pardon the pun) a fighting chance.

Alright, we raised almost the same amount of money in less then a day, vs the last full Kickstarter we ran. Keep up the great work of helping spread the word!

We need the traffic, and the best way is word of mouth to friends and social media. Gaming community would help a lot, I posted on Event Hub and SRK. If other Street Fighter fans here can spread the word on other sites, please do help pump it! Thanks so much!

I'll spread the word. At 40 a figure too much for me but best of luck they look awesome. Have my doubts seems like they need to sell about 2400 sets to reach the goal.

I would love to see some stretch goals here, and I think adding a few in would help entice pledges. Custom sketches, posters, card art, cardboard backdrops, alternate accessories, figure stands (great for displaying Shoryukens), alternate hands for Guile and Sagat, etc. There's some real untapped potential that would make great add-ons for those pledging.

Glad to see Capo trying again, but I have to echo what Joe and others have said about stretch goals. You really need to sell this to your initial pledges with items beyond the stuff for regular buyers.

Also I'd still like to see them go with a smaller scale. To me, 7" is an odd format already and IMO a little too ambitious for a Kickstarter campaign. I could see not wanting to re-tread 3.75" so soon after the Jazwares versions, but there are plenty of other lines with 6" figures these days and some collectors love to mix and match.

Food for thought, I guess.

$500K is a really high goal but keep in mind it's a direct result of pushing all five figures instead of just Ryu #72. You're talking five times the tooling/production plus whatever the license cost.

Not sure how I feel about the scale. On the one hand, I really like 6" as a standard. On the other hand, I can see reasons to deviate from a popular scale. I think it'll hurt them less than if they'd made, say, an anime figure outside of the Figuarts scale (where there's a million reasons to do so but it's still probably suicidal).

Do we really need another Ryu that can't pull off a "Hadouken" pose?
I'm sure it would do well if it was able to.
