When I'm not collecting my primary line of Marvel Universe/Hasbro3 3/4, I ocationally dabble into other brands to fill up my shelf porn, be it gijoe, DC, transformers.
recently I got into the WWE Elite, being a long time Pro Wrestling Fan for 25 years. I have picked up a few Elite and Legends and I love them. none of the lower card guys. as much as I love Goldust, he isnt gettin on my shelf. Just managed to snag the Great One, the Rock, today
I was wondering if anybody else collected Mattel's WWE Elite

Not personally, I love wrestling but have lost the connection since the rock, brock lesnar etc left.. it's kinda gone down hill... but the classic characters are the what I would collect if I did get into these guys, aka hulk hogan, rock, stone cold, ultimate warrior.. they do make good bodies for making custom Ml sized customs. but I'd rather not stray away from from my MU, ML, MI and Iron man collection because every $ I spend on other stuff is a $1 less towards the stuff I really want.

I do, but I have more Legends now after getting the whole Vader wave. That Goldust sucks for having a plastic robe IMO.

I don't collect them, but I have checked them out in the stores while shopping for other lines. If I was going to collect them, I would probably stick with the Legends series since that's where a lot of my interest would lay.

I haven't watched wrestling for about 8-9 years now, I don't know a lot of the guys working now, but the toy line kinda helps me stay somewhat familiar with the current storylines.

Goldust is a lower card guy for you?!

Personally, I think Dustin's earned his spot in the WWE Legends series, but I know his gimmick can come off a little screwy to some people.

On a side note, I can't believe it's been over 30 years since I watched my first pro wrestling match. Man, I'm getting old.

I have nothing really against gold dust, he's had a long sustainable career in the WWF, and I would consider him a legend, but he was never my favorite characters and as I don't collect wrestling figures he doesn't appeal to me let alone characters I like. , as I was saying "if I did collect wwf/wwe figures" I would only buy characters I truely loved watching on tv, from the undertaker, rock, stone cold, etc. I collect Marvel only, so that's why I just feel wwe doesn't appeal, I may pick up the odd figure off some kid at a yardsale/fleamarket to make a custom, but would never shell out 10-20$ for a wwe toy.

I have elites and some legends. Great figures. Wish some of them could have better range of motion for their hips. For example, matt hardy can move his legs better than rey mysterio. Wtf?

Elites are nice..Defining Moments U.Warrior, absolutely love the artwork depicted from his epic Macho Man throw down. WWE Legends series 1 Road warriors Hawk and Animal took me back to them kid days. Legends series 4 looked refreshing, Demolition Ax and Smash looked badass...(reminiscing..ahhh the good ole days)

Call me confused, but my comments about Goldust weren't directed at you, nor was I questioning your collection habits.

I totally get buying only toys of characters you like, and if you're not into WWE or wrestling figures in general, then I completely agree about not buying them.

I don't buy them either, but for me it's mostly because I've never been into wrestling toys period. Most of them were crap when I was a kid, and it's kind of tainted my worldview on them to this day even though I know that Mattel's stuff has been getting some high praise.

My 1st WWE figure was Legends Rock, he was the one who got me into wrestling & I went on to get CM Punk (the fully bearded one with the smirk) Y2J Kurt Angle (the one with hair from the MEM days), & Randy Orton. The figures are amazing & I wish the DCUC figures would be just as versatile with the sculpts like they've been with these figures. The TNA figures aren't bad but I wish the show was just as well done as the figures are. LOL I am also thinking of buying loose Title belts, Macho Man, Warrior, the last masked incarnation of Kane & the masked CM Punk

I picked up Edge yesterday, making my collection Undertaker, DX Shawn Michaels, DX Triple H, Chris Jericho, John Cena, Randy Orton, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Machoman Randy Savage, Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, and the Rock. I'm Hoping Foley signs a Legends contract. cause he's so getting on the shelf.

It's dangerous to get into this, and MMA figures. There would be so many to collect. At least the MMA figures look more realistic.
