Hello:

I am looking for advice and suggestions on 'moveable/bendable' action figures around 8" tall.

I am a photographer and would like to find some action figures that have points of rotation in most of their joints (head, hip/torso, shoulder, elbow, hand, knee ankle). The moveable joints do not have be covered, they can show.
It doesn't really matter (right now) the character, just starting to learn what's available.

Not really sure where to start and I realize this probably is not the first request for this, but any help is appreciated.

Thank you,
David

Your best bet for figures around 8" are from NECA Toys. They mainly deal in movie franchises like Friday the 13th, Predator, Aliens, and other horror icons, but also deal with video game licenses, like God of War. They usually have about 24 points of articulation. A lot of toy photographers like using NECA for shoots because of the accuracy of sculpts.

I'm gonna echo SpasticPlastic and say that NECA is probably the company to look at for the scale. I'm particularly fond of their most recent Kratos figure from God of War. The figure's just shy of 8" tall and features something like 30 points of articulation plus some nicely made accessories. This is a picture of mine just to show him off but the full gallery photoshoot from Tony_Bacala that the Toyark put up has some really great shots to show off the figure's range.

Thank you both so much.
This is exactly what I'm looking for.
I can see this is going to drain the bank account pretty quickly. haha.
I'll be ordering this week.
Thank you,
David

Sure thing. The great thing about NECA is that they are just a few dollars more than most of the mass retail stuff out there, or a lot of times, the same price. They have a line of ultimate versions, which are between $25-$27 in most cases, that come with a ton of accessories, including multiple heads. You really can't beat the value for the money.

Have fun sliding down the rabbit hole!

Yes, Being a photographer, I love rabbit holes, haha.
This will be anew one.
I order a few NECA.
Now I am looking into smaller one that are somewhat/highly articulated. Marvel characters, star wars, etc....
This is going to be fun... and expensive. Some of the customization that people do is very cool as well.
Sorry, if I sound like a kid, this is all kinda new to me, since I was a kid in the 70's and most of the toys back then didn't move at all....
