I think it's so completely tone deaf for a reused parts (and one mold wave at that) wave to be the first one at $65.

When I first saw the price I thought: "$65 isn't too bad for this 4-pack". Then reality crept in: "Wait.....$65 for each figure!??!??!!?!?!?

Tone-deaf? It's a price rise. It'd be insulting if future releases were $55, but clearly we can expect standard releases to be $65 now.

Especially considering they're nothing that unique about them. Quality figs, to be sure, but not like they're super-duper-articulate and you can get them into crazy poses.

Only they havent been very clear with their pricing for the last couple of preorders. $75 ea for major pod wrestling guys 2 weeks ago, last week Simpsons wave: half $55,half $75. And now these turtles....for all we know, that could be the new base price or it could just be them charging more for the GITD gimmick and exclusivity.

It's tone deaf because on EVERY Super7 social media posts people complain about the price and that they hope it doesn't go up and then they go and up the price on a completely re-used wave, ie a wave where they'll make way more profit on them even at $55 since the tooling is all done. It also doesn't help that several figures in the line are going for under MSRP on Amazon.

People have not been happy about the price increases and Super7 has to be well aware of it. It's tone deaf to jack the price on a reissue wave.

Let's face it - everyone is raising prices. The way to counter it is to...not buy the product.

Like Hasbro will stop charging $27 for 3.75 Star Wars when people stop paying that price.

Apparently, the price increase is due to an increase in price for the GITD raw materials and wont be the new base price...yet.
If that is the case for everyone, it makes me appreciate the Neca Remco homages a whole lot more. They were willing to come up with some kind of solution instead of making their customers eat shit like S7 does.

No way, we're talking like an extra 50 cents per figure, maybe a buck at the crappiest market prices for GITD additives. Unless they're also having to navigate a shortage or something, it sounds like an excuse to test the waters on higher pricing without having to publicly commit.

Sounds like the prices for that stuff skyrocketed, according to Brian Flynn. I think they're revealing a GITD reaction next week, so itll be interesting to see if that has some kind of markup.

I just had a wild idea. If the price of GitD additive went through the roof and you're planning on making non-essential figures, maybe hold off to see if the costs drop? It's not like these are already in production. It's not like these are necessary. (Not that any toys are necessary, but these even less so.) I'm of the growing mindset that Flynn is full of shit.

Dude had the gall to say that the Silverhawks weren't silver so he could save a nickel in metallic paint. So this wouldn't be the first time he spouted nonsense at the audience to get more money/save his own. :/

$65 each?!? No thanks to these repaints all day long...
If $65 will be the new price, it's a matter of time before production stops.
I would suggest selling the same product on preorder as usual in 2 different varieties.
- Loose in a bag with all accessories ($45 to $50)
- Boxed as usual with all excess mailers etc etc for increase as needed...
It would cater to both Loose and MISB collectors without bleeding the Loose collectors out to the point of quitting altogether.

Brian did an interview on Youtube with The Fwoosh and explained that the pricing for glow in the dark pigment for the plastic went up like 5x and that's why they're priced as such.

Also I just don't understand the people who think packaging actually adds $10-20 to these figures. It's not even close.
