Let's use this thread as an all purpose discussion for new Super 7 ULTIMATES! info in 2024. Some side chat is ok, just try to keep it focused on the new stuff!

Wasn't this already offered through Super 7 months ago? So Super 7 is offloading extras now to BBTS?

They had ghost jaga a few weeks back in stock for like 30 minutes. Weird that they had him at $55 whereas they upcharged the hell out of glowing cheetara.

How's Super 7 doing as a company overall? I feel like they're so spread out over so many lines now, behind on getting many of them out, and announcing new lines rather than working on showing love to their existing ones, that it feels like they're desperately trying to stay solvent on pre-orders. That's purely an observation on my part based only on the amount of pre-orders and delays I've casually noticed. So this is a legit question with zero snark.

I dont think anyone really knows for sure but for what what it's worth, they've gotten a bunch of stuff out recently..a thundercats wave, gi joe wave 3, lemmy, cliff. Maybe some others I'm missing. I wouldnt be surprised if silverhawks wave 3 drops any day now.
As far as those sales on BBTS and EE, theres a couple theories but, I dont think anyone knows for sure. Though, I think the common consensus with those theories is that their stuff was sitting somewhere, not moving. |

It seems like the general consensus for most people is to wait for sales on their Ultimates figures. Like I picked up the 4 main TMNT figures and Shredder for around $25 each. Really was a bad thing because I like them for $25 figures, and I personally do not think that they are worth the $55 price tag that they are supposed to retail for. So based on this I passed on the G.I. Joe Ultimates and why I am paying more for the SH Figuarts Bruce Lee than the cheaper Ultimates Bruce Lee.

I love Thundercats and Super7 stuff is nice but this isn't $90 nice, it's closer to $40 nice, I have wave 1 of Thundercats but they should be $30-35 each. If Super7's product isn't moving(because it really isn't), it's because their prices are too high. The figures would move a lot more if they were priced at $30-35. Entertainment Earth had a Christmas sale on GI Joe ultimates and they were about $10 a piece, they were gone within a day.

Not happy about the mark-up, but I did PO her since I missed the S7 PO period.

Hasbro's D&D cartoon series just bombed hard. Why is Ultimates now doing the same line?

Maybe they're just trying to show off how much better their figures are...but I gotta say, while these ARE a drastic improvement...that PRICE. I mean yikes, in THIS economy? I barely have any extra cash for the lines I normally collect. These are great and all, but not $55 great, lol.

I got to see despite looking animated. They actually look way better than what Hasbro jokingly offered. Depending on the price I may get these I will say right off the bat that Hank looks way better than Hasbro Pulse version.

I might get the Shadow Demons (I think there was briefly multiple Shadow Demons but I really only remember Venger talking to one) and Dekkion when they go on sale.
It's been my experience with Super7 that they will go on sale. My Hasbro versions of Hank and Sheila are just fine. Quote:

Every key economic indicator reveals that. That doesn't discount your personal experience, but I keep seeing people say the economy is bad, and it's not. We have unfulfilled positions at my job because candidates are turning us down. They have other job offers -sometimes multiple job offers when they come in for the interview. I just watched a YouTube video sandwiched between ads training for welders and then electricians because neither industry can meet the demand. That's a sign of a good economy. Toy prices are starting to come down in spots, too. This would have been at least $20 more if it released last year. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/251970 This is half of what Bandai is charging for a similar product of arguably inferior quality. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/231857 This is re-releasing at $60 less than when it came out during COVID inflation. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...ils/203020?o=4 |

And I'd counter that Hasbro for example keeps raising prices and putting more inferior product out. Same with McFarlane making more and more $29.99 figures that don't need that price.

I dont see the kids as looking any better or worse than Hasbro's (the expressive alternate heads are cool tho). And I'm not hopeful articulation will be any better. Or that Hank will be able to do any kind of realistic archer pose. Plus a 7 inch Hank or Sheila would limit me from displaying the kids with the Neca figures.
The creatures are where it's at for me with these. |

I think Hasbro, Mattel and McFarlane are going to be the last to reduce retail prices. At the very least, they haven't raised them in a bit. (I hope they didn't just hear me...) Quote:

The creatures are where it's at for me with these. Are they not 7 inch scale? I'm going to wait for reviews. I honestly do not believe the production Hank figure will be able to hold the bow well at all. |

I think the inferior quality aspect depends on the individual offering, but agree with you.

I had him in my cart when he was $149 and didn't pull the trigger. Ugh! The NECA Strongheart and Warduke? Are they not 7 inch scale? I'm going to wait for reviews. I'm good with Hasbro's D&D figures despite the flaws, S7 Dekkion is on my want list and S7 Shadow Demon is a must have, I only remember ever seeing just 1 Shadow Demon in the animated series which will be enough in my display as Venger's personal spy.
ThunderCats Snarfer is a must have to complete the Season 2 Cats lineup! |
