Seems kind of an obscure license for them to make Ultimates of. Do want that HAL, though |

Dear Journal: TIL the sapien in 2001 is called "Moon Watcher". MW and Dave are definite must haves, but for some reason the expressions on the other figures sold me on just ordering a whole set. Can't wait to pose my other 6 inch figures around that monolith! (which had better be in good condition, unlike the ThinkGeek one I have that had scratches in the paint out of the package) |

Seems like reactions would have been better for these. Of course I bought these anyway. Lol. Still one of my favorite films. Super7 is just blazing away on these ultimates. Really something for everyone. |

I remember when I was really young... like early 80's-ish... the only channel I could watch was the Disney Channel and they used to play this movie all the time. I remember thinking... what the heck is this... why is this so boring and why is this on the Disney Channel... stop playing this dumb movie and go back to playing Tron again. LOL. So even when I got older I just avoided watching this movie for so long.

These are awesome, but I only want the monolith and moon-watcher. What an absolutely fantastic figure set.

While I agree these would have made more sense as ReAction, I would have passed... but I've pre-ordered this Ultimates Moon Watcher!

Besides these figures being based on an old long boring sci fi movie, the 3 human characters in the suits pretty much look like plain old astronaut figures if you were a kid growing up in the 1960s and only played with plain astronaut figures

Bowman comes with a HAL 9000 computer terminal. That's what I meant.
