Not sure about these. Too buff and bulky as others have said, and the likeness is definitely off. He needs to look lean and cut.

Super 7 just needs to stick with cartoon/toy based licenses. Every time they try to do a real life human it turns out bad. Everyone makes fun of their awful Andre the Giant figures for that reason, and I hated how they used the overly buff MOTU bodies for their Conan the Barbarian movie figures. But they generally nail it with their cartoon/toy stuff like TMNT, Thundercats, Simpsons, Disney, Silverhawks, etc. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the Roger Rabbit Ultimates line they just teased.

Agree with most everyone's comments.
Guess we all were having a bit of hope that Super7 would have made some improvements with their sculpting choices but we were all spot on with the expectations- not accurate and almost cartoony details and proportions in facesculpt and body. The facesculpt also just looks like anyone else who has played Bruce. If they knew they were going to not nail the face sculpt they should have went all out with expressions all of them are all fairly neutral/tame looking. They knew what the standard was and all they had to do was match or outdo the SHF, with the slightly bigger scale to help. I had hoped Super7 surprised and exceeded our rather moot expectations so I would want some other characters/villians from Bruce's movies. I could use a quality Saxson and Norris figure...and others.

I'll get the Warrior, and thats it. I don't think I need other people from his movies because I don't remember them, except for that guy with the claw.

With alternate Arnie head? My kid might want that actually. He's pretty fond of that silly film lol. Though if does want such a figure I hope it wouldn't be as difficult to obtain as it was in the film lol

I hope Roger Ultimates are coming, but just FYI that definitely seemed like a ReAction figure from the detail.

Considering that they do cartoon characters, they did a pretty good job with this Bruce Lee! Hopefully the final product will look like this, hopefully better.

Also, it’s really hard to nail the likeness of Bruce Lee. There have been attempts and too many failed.

Since the pants are soft goods they couldve probably had his look from the beginning of Enter the Dragon underneath. With only an extra head and gloved hands needed.

Also all this talk of wishlisting other characters got me thinking I'd love to see S7 do JCVD from Bloodsport and Kickboxer along with the fighters he fights at the end (feels odd calling them villians lol).

It's been years since I last watched Kickboxer but as I recall his opponent rapes his girlfriend and taunts him over it so that's definitely a villain.

Chong Li in Bloodsport was a dick but I guess it's fair to argue he's not really a proper villain (at least from what I remember).

The pants aren't soft goods, just the shirts.

Finally we get an Ultimates figure with more than 3 sets of hands. They always cheap out on the hands, but glad to see they included a bunch of hands for the Bruce Lee Ultimates.

Ultimate Bruce Lee Warrior preordered
The prototype looks good to me. It's a good scale to display with other ultimates. I have the Figuarts which is a great figure in it's own scale.

Duh on me then. I assumed it was real the whole time even with the joints being plainly obvious.

That undershirt and jacket does NOT look like soft goods. As in not cloth material since cloths don't have that kind of folds, not in that scale. Do they mean softer plastic? However, if that jacket is not cloth, it'd severely restrict movement.

The Warrior: Nice of them to include the "come get me" hand gesture! I wonder why they have 2 nunchuks with drooping chain though. It's obviously for holding with both hands horizontally in front of him, but why would he need 2?

The Challenger: Nice pinky sticking out hand gesture! That's definitely signature Bruce Lee.

The shirt/jacket are just renders.

This is from BBTS's site. That's a pretty good render if it's a render.

The proto's face looks pretty good, but Super7 hasn't been really great at faces on the last few sets of wrestling figures they've done, so I'm more interested in seeing the final product before I put any money down.

Would've preferred NECA to do these figures.

Super7's likenesses are typically absolute crap. I agree, I'd hold out to see in-hand images before even considering buying anything.

Is it just me, or are the likenesses for these figures much more on point than the Wave 1 figures? I am having a hard time not pulling the trigger on both of these... Certainly the Fighter being such an iconic look, but the Contender looks great as well

Super 7 seem to excel at creature-type characters like TMNT and the mutants from Thundercats. Heroic archetypes and real life people doesn't seem to be their forte.

I'm a fan of Super7 but I wouldn't preorder any of these until you see them in hand. At most preorder at BBTS or somewhere similar where you can cancel.
