They look really good.

It's a shame I can't afford them.

I can't wait.. Hopefully they won't be too difficult to preorder.

Their height is kind of disappointing, oh well. At least we're getting toon turtles.

Judging by them being at NYCC, I'm assuming Bandai has the US license and we'll be able to get these from Barnes and Nobles and online stores for cheaper than they are at the Tamashii Web Shop.

I think they're pretty awesome, but not really liking that raised eyebrow head for Mike.

The Tamasii Web exclusive is scary. Hoping for an American release announcement soon.

Very cool! Although, I fear that this will be another series of Turtles only. If they don't make a Shredder than I'll just pass. Kind of a shame too, these are great quality. NECA, Mondo, Playmates Classics, Revoltech, and now Figuarts making Have made all 4 turtles.

Yup. I don't expect them to continue beyond these 4. It's only going to get worse, unfortunately. With Movie 2 upcoming, you're likely to see a ton of companies just doing variations on the Turtles.

That sucks. I believe we now have enough turtle variations for the next 10 years, at least. What's the point of having so many turtles, if they don't have any villains to fight against?! I'm still mad at playmates for deceiving us and give us a false hope for classic Shredder and Krang.

The prices are utterly absurd. Having a complete set will run you over $240 USD.

Also, they should just be a four pack.

1. Japanese imports.
2. Welcome to a Sentai Collector's nightmare. Just be happy they are actually doing the whole team.

Very interesting. So will these be in comic stores or something like that? I highly doubt they'd be showing up in Toys R Us or something....

Is this the first time that Figuarts has released figures to North American retailers?

Comic shops or anywhere that normally sells Tamashii Nations stuff. Barnes and Noble is a good bet to carry them. Plus, you'll be able to order them from a North American online store without having to worry about an import markup.

...when I was a kid I love that show. Watching after many years was like receiving a punch in the stomach. Couldn't stand more than one episode xD

Having said that, these are gorgeous looking figures

My only wish right now for TMNT is for Hot Toys to get the movie license and do 1/6 90s figures. It's got to happen at some point, right?

No, my Barnes and Nobles has DBZ and Mario Figuarts.

Also, I was hoping for a better US price. This is more than every SHF Star Wars or Marvel (aside from Hulk) figure I've bought including shipping. Like 90% of the mold is the same except for the heads too. I guess it's good so I don't have to go out and buy a whole new line of figures.

Hoping for a $45 dollar price tag. I think BBTS has them for $60 so there's that.

EXACTLY! The 1st Turtle movie is one of my 3 dream series for Hot Toys (Ghostbusters and a full set of 66 Batman being the others).
Also- Metal in the legs?! Why and where?

Okay, heres how I feel about these figures:

TMNT figures, the turtles specifically, are annoying. Each company is making the same figure 4 times, with simply different headsculpts plus different accessories. If you buy only one of them, no problem. However, if you buy all of them (which most people will) then I feel I am getting ripped-off !

Granted they are following closely the cartoon, but it really would have been nice if the turtles had some variation in the build. Even in nature not all turtles are the same size !
And they dont even have a variation in the green color !

Really, I dont see much improvement over the Playmates Classic Collection, which cost at least 60% less and they are actually pretty good figures.....

They're the closest to cartoon accurate that any figure has been for the series. If that ain't enough for ya I don't know what to say. The original cartoon did not have turtles with different body types and skin tones.

So I am assuming you will gladly pay an extra 190$ for basically extra weapons and heads ?
Surely, the cost of each figure is a lot less, since they are basically the same - why not sell them at a lower price point than 63$ ? Even the new DBZ figures are a lot less than that and they are brand new molds (e.g. Whis, Beerus etc)....

Meh....

Are SH Figuarts figures generally this expensive in Japan? Because I bought their Mario figure a while back and it was only $25. Is it only cheaper because it's half the size of the more expensive ones? I don't entirely understand their pricing scheme.
