I feel this makes it abundantly clear Spider-man should be a ninja, same with Deadpool. This is silly.

I agree, but I guess conceptually; if you were to make Spider-Man in a ninja outfit it's really not that different than what he normally wears. Just a tight to the body outfit. They can have flair with the samurai theme.

Not sure what ninjas you're referring to but typically ninjas wore loose fitting clothing to allow full range of movement. Hakama baggy pants that taper at the calves due to shin guards or wraps and a Uwagi jacket which was also loose fitting. They definitely could've made a ninja Spidey and he would've looked nothing like his comic counterpart.

Awesome. Was waiting for this to drop. Was expecting it to be an SDCC exclusive. Absolutely love this series.

Looks like we have Wolverine, Dare Devil and Hulk in the pipelines.

I've got all of them so far, with the exception of War Machine, which I'm sure I'll end up getting too. I cannot wait for Daredevil, concept art looks like he might be the best figure yet. And Hulk looks awesome, he looks like a Yokai. Wolverine isn't really doing it for me, I'm not sure why. Even if it were yellow and brown I still think it just looks ok. Deadpool looks great too. I get why most people seem to hate Spider-man, either they don't like the color scheme or feel he should be more ninja than samurai, which I get. But in hand, these are really incredible. I've got most of the Star Wars ones as well, and love those too.

I remember watching a documentary a few years ago about REAL ninja, not the mythical Hollywood pajama boys. They rarely, if ever, ran around in masks and pajamas, they were dressed as regular peasants, priests, or soldiers. They hid out in the open.

The black costumes often associated with ninja in artwork was the feudal Japanese version of slanderous journalism. Hiding in darkness, obscuring your face, and flying no banner was considered dishonorable and disreputable...

Spiderman most definitely would have been a samurai.

I got them ALL, Marvel and Star wars, and they are ALL fantastic when you have them in hands, even the so unpopular spiderman.
Still have not received the black one but cannot wait.
And in hands the purple color on deadpool and spiderman is absolutely not a big deal.
