Are the figures showing up for pre-order? They read as "Coming soon" for me, with only the Batmobile and cave showing as available

On IG they said the figures will be in store in August and online in September.

Considering everyone and their mother is claiming these are available now (including the store trying to sell them to us) it is ludicrous that the only place we can find out they're not dropping online for another two months is... a reply to a comment on an Instagram post

WTH is going on in these companies' press&promo departments?

I don't get why these are almost the same price as their regular figures, but are smaller and less articulated. They're not too expensive so it doesn't bother me that much, but I'd much rather have better figures. I'd buy the Mezco set if I wanted a retro style set.

The only thing I ordered was the Batcave to go with my Mattel figures. The batmobile is way underscaled from what we've seen in previous photos compared to the figures. The Mattel version was much better. As for the figures, I bet they end up pegwarming in stores so I'll wait to see them in person before I decide if its worth buying any.

They're probably using the same strategy as they did with the GI Joe figures. Put the less desirable figures up for sale, first, then put up the more in demand items, the next day.

i was curious if i missed them and they sold out as i logged on at 9:03 and the figures all said coming soon. they never went up so figured they presold out. because numerous times in the past the coming soon doesnt actually mean that, its just that they havent updated it to sold out yet. so maybe i still have hope.

but i agree, i dont think these will be hard to find at retail.

Yeah, that seems to be counter to the entire obvious purpose of the line as a budget (and kid) friendly line. It just screams to me that something's gone terribly wrong behind the scenes and they've bumped up the prices at the last minute. Just last month Todd said the entire wave would be less than $100

You're a lucky duck, I can't stand that scale without a slew of vehicles and playsets as the real centerpieces, like G.I. Joe. I can't go small unless they're part of a larger collection, like a shelf of RoboCop figures or something, but by then the individual figures are just sort of fodder

Well that's part of it too, there's a Batcave playset and it comes with the Batmobile and pretty much every villain you might want in one box.

I almost want to agree but can't. The cardboard batcave feels more like a backdrop than a proper playset, and the villains don't really belong there. Penguin made it in twice, Joker & Catwoman once each, but Riddler never made it in there. Tut did, but he's not in the set!

If you had to pick four villains to include, these are the four, but I'd love if someone could try to pull a Playmates Trek and start dropping everyone in plastic. The show had an enormous cast and I doubt any company could get them all, no matter how successful, but they don't even have Batgirl in the set

Looks like McFarlane made a 3 3/4" scale Batcave for 6 inch figures.

The set does look very tiny. Those batcomputers are supposed to be nearly as tall as Batman right? Here they're way smaller, barely to his shoulders.
