So, I just got my Mezco Hellboy 2 boxset in the mail today. I eagerly opened it up and started loosing everything and then I hear the dreaded sound that we collectors hate...
CLICK! And suddenly I'm holding two things instead of one.. When turning Hellboy's gun hand around, it snapped off. The peg is stuck in the arm and the hand, separated. I have assembld, YOU ALL, the best toy surgeons in the world!!! To help me with my dilemma. Before I condemn my new toy to being a one hand position guy, are there any techniques I can try? I've thought about 1) Trying to pry the peg out and glueing it back on the hand 2) Dremeling into the forearm to create a new cavity and then creating a new peg etc Thoughts ideas? |

Removing the peg and gluing it to the hand ain't gonna work. The first thing I would try is cutting the head off of a small screw, drilling into the hand, and attaching it that way. There might be a tutorial with different suggestions on figurerealm.com.

What kind of glue did you use? Is the joint still functional?

I use the screw-n-wrist fix on Star Wars figures all the time. I have a guide on the mechanics of it on my site if you want pics. The guide is kinda old but the info is sound. Jin Saotome's Dangerous Toys! Custom action figures, Marvel Legends, Transformers, guides
