That they did. Slipped by me, thanks for pointing me to that.

I do dig the mask. I like that this design is way less armored than the other AVP Predators and I like him more than Scar or Chopper, but Celtic is my priority from these upcoming waves. This guy is a maybe until more is revealed. Also depends on non-Predator NECA releases like Leatherface, Ultimate T-800, etc.

This is a good full body image of him from the movie to give an idea of how the toy will look. I assume NECA will make him slimmer like they're doing with the three main guys.

Eh looks like the Jungle Hunter from P1 more or less. Personally I liked the armored look the Preds from AVP had. Just thought the movie was meh.

Truth be told the AVP Pred costume is the one I play as in Concrete Jungle. Yeah I still play that big whoop wanna fight about it?

Alright BRO!!! Let's throw down! AMERICA

The differences are there but yes this guy is reminiscent of the Jungle Hunter. I have actually always liked Celtic from AVP, the big brute that he is. His mask alone wins him a ton of points in my book.

I can sort of get Predators wearing almost full body armor, that's how they looked in the original AVP comics. It was just how damn bulky they were in AVP the movie that was stupid. Predators already have a bit of bulk anyway but they need to keep that agility factor too. The Predators in AVP did not look like they could hang from a tree.

NECA just isn't going to rest until they've done every conceivable Predator possible, are they?

The line has enough momentum. I would prefer more Kenner homages or original designs (Viper) over these blink and you miss them predators. Ideally though, we'll get Broken Tusk from ye old comics and a bunch of video game predators (AVP arcade, AVP 1,2, and 2010, concrete jungle).

OH YOU WANNA GO BRAH CAUSE WE'LL GO!!!

Yeah they were too bulky but NECA seems to have fixed that by slimming them down some AND keeping the cool extra armor. Win/win for me.

It is a win/win situation indeed. I can have Celtic and his awesome mask without having his 'roided up body.

According to the cards at ToyFair it will be Summer, but I'd expect a delay from that.
