Can someone please confirm if the motu mini figures are the same size as the ones released for SDCC last year?
I ask because I remember looking at a picture last year showing them to be smaller.

Really interested in the MOTUC mini-figs, but I'm not sure if I want to start up another collection (even one that has an obvious end-point). Total Heroes are still a wait-and-see kind of thing for me (distribution is still really spotty around here).

The things I'm looking forward to most are wave 2 of Multiverse, KARR and that BTTF Time Machine.

I think you mean Multiverse. There is no Total Heroes Keaton Batman.

I'm not sure how big or small the SDCC ones are, but according to Matty, these new ones are about 2" tall.

Nope I meant this.

I can't be the only one that thinks it looks like the Keaton Batsuit.

Compared to the amazing stuff that DC Collectibles will be releasing this year, Mattel should be a little embarrassed about their offerings.

No Mattel feels that they are Putting the Best product possible forward. You could Tell Scott Neitlich to his face "This Stuff is horrendous" and he would say "It's a great time to be a DC Fan at Mattel."

They need to re-package the ENTIRE DCUC line on Super-Powers cards. I'll buy them this time around.

I really like the Total Heroes Batman Beyond, Firestorm & John Stewart.
There's some nice figures in the MotUC line (Double Trouble & Entrapta).
Can't believe they're doing a Madame Razz figure!!! Mattel should just try to forget this abomination, she's to the MotU franchise that Jar Jar Binks is to Star Wars.

The TH figure has a different design for the utility belt and the cowl (and not just due to the different aesthetic style). The boots are different as well. So while it's the same color as the Multiverse version, I would not call it a TH Keaton Batman.

Batman has also had other suits that were that color or similar before and after that movie.

I'm a little confused about the 1:18 cars; haven't we had 1:18 DeLoreans / Batmobiles in the last few years? From what I can see the only difference is the Batman and Robin figures in the seats, and the DeLorean just has a little more detail. Odd.

I remember 1:12 versions, but not 1:18. Not to say they don't exist, of course. I do believe this is the first time we've gotten those in-scale accessories with the DeLorean, though.

These:

Hot Wheels Batman 1966 TV Series Batmobile 1 18 Scale Die Cast George Barris | eBay
Hot Wheels 1966 TV Series Batmobile Elite Edition 1 18 Diecast Car | eBay

DeLorean Time Machine Back to The Future 1 18 Sun Star 657440240123 | eBay

It's worth noting that 1:18 is too small for 3 3/4 figs, and that Diamond Select put out a 1:15 DeLorean which fits 3 3/4 figs (it's a touch large, but still fits better than the smaller 1:18 scale).

They are indeed smaller than the SDCC ones from last year.

I don't have a direct comparison, but this is from NYCC in october. Should give you an idea.

Okay, so I haven't bought a DCUC figure in almost 2 years, so I have no idea how Mattel operates... but how do we get our hands on that Doomsday figure?? Is that some subscription exclusive too?

your going to have to wait till comic con in July then prey that they post them, and prey that they don't sell out in MOTU Only Access, and if all that happens you might get one. Odds are that figure will sell out. Then Appear on Amazon and Ebay for 40$ more

The DeLorean has more than just "a little more detail". I have never seen one that has that much detail on the time machine components.

I'm looking at my Sun Star / Diamond Select ones right now, and I'm seeing the new one has slightly better paints and a little more detail... but I'm honestly not seeing anything that staggering. What am I missing?

The second link is for the new Elite one, but I had forgotten about that older HW release in the first link.

Those are both the Sun-Star version. I was specifically referring to ones made by Mattel. Btw, did the Sun-Star version come with an alarm clock and hoverboard?

Oops! It’s because they look so similar! They had an Elite and a regular version back in the day. I think the only difference is the new figures.

Sun Star made 1:18 DeLorean’s for 1, 2 and 3. I think the only removable parts were Mr. Fusion on 2 and the rod on 1.

I’d heard about the Hoverboard, but not the alarm clock – is it removable?

Here’s the 1:15 Diamond Select DeLorean. I’m not normally a fan of lights / sounds on vehicles but I have to admit these worked quite well:

There's nothing huge, but it's all the little things that add up. I already mentioned the tires carrying the proper markings(something every release of the time machine up until now has failed to do). The boxes and wires on the car are properly colored, and a couple of details of the time machine components are more accurate, such as the boxes in the back of the rear passenger side window that seem to have detailing like they're welded in and the rivets in the vents. The flux bands on the sides and front bumper are also textured like the real ones. Sadly, we can't see ALL the interior details, but we can see the alarm clock on the dash and the digital speedometer looks proper now. About the only thing the Sunstar/Diamond Select versions have over this one are flip-down wheels, and even those aren't represented properly on those models.

I'm brand new when it comes to collecting DC figures, and I can't wait to pick up some of those Total Heroes, especially that Batman Beyond.

Wow... That Riddler is just terrible...

Unsure about the Delorean (I have a 1:18 Sunstar version), but I do know they've been making Hot Wheels Batmobiles for awhile. The 1989 Batmobile already exists in the Hot Wheels 1:18 line, was much cheaper (around $30 when it came out), and had the gold colouring replaced with silver. Same goes for the '60s Batmobile (also minus the Batman & Robin figures sculpted in the seats). I bought both about 5 or 6 years ago. These Batmobiles don't look much different.
