I don't understand how Mezco is getting away with using Papo's t-rex sculpt.



I mean, do they have a license to use Papo's mold or something?

You know, I honestly ask those questions a lot whenever i see another toy company use some OTHER toy company's sculpt for their work. Sideshow once used McFarlane's Necronomicon sculpt from their Army of Darkness figures for THEIR 12 inch Jason Goes to Hell figure and I just never understood how. Like, did they ask or was the sculptor working on Sideshow and reused his original sculpt, or what?Really strange although it DID give me a way to get a Necronomicon for my Sideshow Army of Darkness figures, lol.

I emailed Papo yesterday, in French (it's a French company, and their website is in French), and asked if they're aware of what Mezco is doing and whether permission has been granted. Call me a rat, but I admire and respect the quality of Papo's work, and don't want them getting ripped off.
