No disrespect to those those that do but whats up with the love for Black Rock Shooter? I see people everywhere freaking out over it and the figure, even got on JPN playstation home and 90% odf the people had that outfit on. I found the OVA incredibly boring , stopped half way(every time it would get to good stuff it would cut back to high school junk.)
Am I just missing the point or is that it?

Sorry for the off topic rant, but as a figma looks nice might buy it any way.

I like how the first line is "Black Rock Shooter is joining the figma family!" yet, she has already joined the figma family long ago... just a thought.

You really didn't have to stretch it and call it high school "junk", I love action as much as the next person, but I also appreciate that "junk". I kinda noticed that I seem to be more substantially varied in what I like than most people. So you don't have to mind me.

Anyway, I really don't know what all the fuss is about either. I personally liked the BRS OVA as its own nice little story. I own the BRS figma and the Blu-ray Limited Edtion box set thing with the Nendoroid Petites, and that's about it. The overly-hyped state this "franchise" is in has be baffled. And just to answer your last question, if you're referring to the transitions between the "real world"/ "other world" thing - yeah, that's about it, there's no point to grasp or anything - just a friend who saves another dear friend with some supernatural-esque stuff mixed in.

Apparently this goes further than the actual OVA, in that some song (a very, very uninteresting song) and the awesome artwork by artist "huke" spawned all this fandom.

sorry didn't mean to insult. just meant the high school stuff is my normal type of anime and i wanted to watch this for the action, etc... I though. I might give it another shot just based on how popular it is.

I don't get the love for BRS either. It's kind of shitty. But I like the character designs, which is why I bought them in the first place. My original BRS snapped in half at the torso pretty much 30 seconds out of package. I crazy glued her together and didn't bother to get a replacement, but I like the look of this one, so I preordered her. I'll probably toss the other one or keep her good body parts as replacement bits. Man. That last sentence sounded creepy.

Personally, I would like to see Figmas of the Highschool of the Dead characters. That probably was creepy also.

Man thats exactly what I want I would buy every figure other than the nurse. If they only made one though fingers crossed for Saeko.
