Still no 12" figures that call to me. But good for the fans, and I gotta give Hasbro props for giving them both alternate heads - I have a certain fondness for 'Mop-Top' Hulk.

Whoa those look cool. It would be cool if we get a Gladiator Hulk for any of the thor or marvel lines coming up

Odd that Thor looks much more mythological than Marvel.

That Hulk is kind of fugly. The sculpt isn't very appealing-in fact, I'd say the 3.75" Marvel Universe Hulk blows this away sculpt-wise.

Every store within a two hour radius of me has shelves overflowing with the cheaper 12" titan series figures, including most of the characters they have produced in the new ML12" line. And these new ones have already been reduced 50-66%. I can't see the mdoing much better until they start producing more interesting characters. Give us a Wasp or Black Widow (Black Widow being the only Titan series 12" figure to actually sell around here).
Thor does look decent though, Hulk less so.

These larger "Legends" style figures didn't really work or sell well in the Toybiz era with the ICONS line, and didn't do all too well when Hasbro took over the line. And they were 25 dollars cheaper back then.

I give kudos to Hasbro for trying again, but I'm surprised that the line didn't end with the first wave of figures, as outside the initial shipments, these have pegwarmed (or shelf-warmed if you will...) HARD since. I'd honestly buy in if they released a few characters that haven't been done before (as all of the figures were done with the Toybiz ICONS line, as well as Classic Thor already being done by Hasbro's ICONS as well...) and if they can find a way to cut the price point down a bit. Thus far, Deadpool has been the only new character in the line, and I 40 dollars clearanced at Walmart is still a bit too rich for my blood. We'll see if they get any further than these two new ones in the near future.

Instead of wasting plastic on making normal scaled heroes into giants; Hasbro should try giving us legit giant characters in highly detailed sculpts such as classic & modern Sentinels; Kree Sentries; Galactus; Goliath from the Masters of evil & Goliath or Giant man Henry Pym. Id buy all those characters in a heartbeat!

I think these actually look pretty good I just wish the Thor face without the helmet was the Thor face with the helmet if that makes sense.

Now, that they have done their most popular characters Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Deadpool, Hulk and Thor what do you think is next? I would love a Sentinel in this scale as well as a Venom, Wolverine and Magneto. It would be really wise to focus on larger characters than can fit into Marvel Legends displays as well.

Sigh...if only that Thor had brushable hair and real clothes I would be all over him. Those giant action figures of regular sized characters seems silly to me, it would've been smarter to make them as reasonably priced action doll and that way they could also appeal to girls/adult collector women (like me).

Not completely sold on the Hulk (a shame, really -- I'd like a good affordable 1/6-scale Hulk), but Thor looks pretty awesome.

So these are 12" Hulk and Thor? As in they'd be the same height as Spider-man in the same line, all out of scale?

Well a few things about this. If he was 6" he'd scale only with 5 inch figures (or smaller) & if you mean 6 inch scale then he needs to 7" or higher. Plus they have made comic accurate hulks. Are you referring to a much newer specific comic bro?

First, it's NOT a waste of plastic, and second the might use the bucks for these molds to make specialty figures for conventions likr that but that would fall under a different line. Probably the ML Infinity line or 3.75 whatever the call that nowadays (I remember it as marvel Universe but they seemed to have changed it).

Ok that said I really enjoy these type of figures, & I know a few other collector friends of mine that also love this line. I don't own any of the new ML ones yet but one of my.top 3 Spideys is the Todd McFarlane 12" ICONS Spider-Man hanging upsidedown in box! Its awesome!! I'm hoping to get the 4 that that are out I wish I grabbed them when 25 bucks on Black Friday. Can still get em for 30 though so I probably will.

It kinda is:/. Good for you and your friends liking it, but for most people there isn't much appeal in bigger version of the same small figures which would cost more and so is what would be display and accessories options for them. This size great for giant characters and action dolls which can have great detailed and durable clothes, also nice looking rooted hair at this size.

They're 12 inch scale. So, Hulk will probably be, like, 14 inches. It's easier to refer to things as "12 inch scale" than referring to them all by their specific heights. What, you've never heard normal Marvel Legends in general be called 6 inch figures, even though there are some that are taller or shorter than that?

As I mentioned to Cyclops, they're talking about 6 inch scale. When people say they want a new 6 inch Hulk, they mean they want a new 6 inch scale Hulk. It's an abbreviation. Only someone who's either a) completely new to the hobby, or b) intentionally misunderstanding for the purpose of being belligerent and contrarian would take "I want a new 6 inch Hulk" as meaning "I want a new Hulk that is only 6 inches tall".

Yeah I get he's larger, but he shouldn't cost 50% more. The first wave went for $10-15 during Black Friday and the holidays and I look forwards to these dropping to that level too haha.

Yea I'm just not crazy about the idea of having to start to collect an entirely new scale. Combine that with a scale that doesn't have any villains so far so you'd have 12" heroes but any villains you wanted would have to from the 6" line.

I do like the idea of it was huge characters done in the 12" scale as a Sentinel that size would look great with the X-Men figures that have recently been released in the 6" scale.

Or maybe something really wacky like drop the whole build a figure thing in favor of a 6" line for regular figures, an 8" line for really big characters like Hulk, and then save the 12" stuff for the giant characters of the Marvel world.
