Preview For Marvel Comics Jane Foster Thor Statue

They should really call her "Thorette" or some different name. Just because someone has the powers of a norse god, they do not BECOME that god. Thor himself has sat on Odin's throne and possessed his magic spear quite a few times, as did Loki, but neither of them suddenly renamed themselves to Odin just because of that.

Let it go, it's not even the first time it has happened and Thorette or some various thereof is a terrible name. It's really tedious that this silly argument keeps popping up 25 years after it first happened and two years after it happened with Jane Foster.

If this was an articulated figure I'd be tempted to try and get it, but looking at the price point on Sideshow statues they don't seem particularly good value for money. What you can see of it looks great though.

I agree. She should just be called Jane. Thor is not a title. It's his actual name. Can lois lane be the next Clark Kent? Can she be called Clark Kent? Absolutely not. I'm fine with her being the goddess of thunder, but not thor.

I disagree. Jane Foster is not the first human to wield name Thor. When original Thor was banished, Eric Masterson became a new Thor - see Thor #432. I did not see any similar complaints when Masterson Thor figure was released a few years back.

That's one beautiful statue! Very nice, though I'd rather have a 1/12 scale figure to pose myself.

Statue looks lovely. I love the detail Sideshow puts into these things.
