Wonder Woman, Flash, Superman, and Batman

I know this title caught attention... Rolling Stone is reporting that casting is taking place for the 2015 Superman/Batman movie. Two Roles are under the Microscope Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) and a Female Love interest of Bruce Wayne (Batman). As previously announced Ben Affleck will be playing one of the title Characters (Batman) with Henry Cavill returning as the other (Superman). In addition Barry Allen (The Flash) may also appear setting up the 2016 - 2020 (at some point in that time Frame likely 2017) Justice League. Much of the Man of Steel cast is expected to return. I have three questions Who will be the Villain? Who is going to be Lex Luthor? and Who will be Jimmy Olsen? Also Wonder Woman is expected to appear in the Flash movie

the Huffington post also reported that Adam Driver is up for the role of Nightwing/ Dick Grayson

What I am about to say is probably going to be unpopular, and may not resonate too well, but here goes..

As a die-hard fan of Superman for quite some time, I am not sure what to think about the way this new film is being handled. It appears as if too many characters and different ideas are being crammed into this project. DC is trying to keep up with Marvel's movie success (which I understand) but they are doing it in such a rush. I would prefer they take their time and introduce different characters gradually.

Also as a Superman fan I almost feel like this film is going to "short change" the character by bringing in other people. The talk about this film has been all about Batman, Wonder Woman, Nightwing, etc. I feel like people have forgotten that this is supposed to be a sequel to Man of Steel, and Superman is the main character.

I do not say these things because I don't like Batman or any of these other characters. I say these things because I feel like Man of Steel was a great start for a new Superman series, and these other characters can have their own films as well if they are done right. Justice League will happen, but DC doesn't need to rush it. Take it one step at a time, give these characters their own films, and then combine them all.

I liked the idea of Superman and Batman, with Batman being in the periphery of the film. Now they are adding way too many characters. It's as if DC wants soooo desperately to copy Marvel Studios but doesn't want to appear to be coping them.

The next Superman movie should have focuses on the reveal of a super man on earth, the destruction of Metropolis and Lex Luthor's bid to banish/imprison/kill this new super man. You can make a pretty powerful movie off those ideas alone. Let Batman have a 10 minute cameo to have a one-on-one talk with Supes, then bring in the holy trinity for the 3rd movie.

I agree, DC/Warner Brothers is trying a bit too hard to catch up with Marvel. They need to take it slow, so that things will be done right.

There is no real way DC/WB can catch up with Marvel/Disney/Sony at this point. Marvel is shoving forward an average of 3 movies a Year. While DC does 1 every 3 years. At this point DC felt something was needed the Cameos in the Marvel Movies have been pretty cool but DC needs to treat these appearances with some respect.

What Really should Happen is "Man of Steel 2", "Dark Knight Returns" and "Wonder Woman" in 2015 all have some tie in be it Amanda Whaller, Steve Trevor, or Director Bones showing up. Then in 2016 hit "The Flash", "Green Lantern Reboot" then "Justice League" in 2017 use several Directors and producers and explain what will happen to set Up Justice League

I don't think any of those are right for Wonder Woman they all way too tiny for an Amazon Warrior. Heck if they are going to pick someone from the Fast and the Furious movies how about Gina Carano. A quick google search someone already did a mockup of her as WW.

I don't like Carano as WW. Either Jamie or Gal Gadot if that is the short list. Both would have to put on some muscle.

Antje Traue from Man of Steel might have been a good choice but she has already been a notable character. Too much confusion.

I know rumors fly with hero movies some cerdible, incredible, or not credible. I'm sure at some point Doomsday will be mentioned. Most discussion revolves around Lex and Joker being the Baddies. I'm sure there will be a bigger power. Fortunatly 'The Man of Steel' did not lock in a villain I could see Brainiac, Toyman, Metallo, Kryptonite Man, Doomsday, Parasite, or Lex showing up

Lex is a definite. Zach Snyder has all but said so. I guess it's a competition between Bryan Cranston and Terry O'Quinn. Personally I hope it's Cranston.
