Well the helmeted Thor issue can be resolved the same way Odin's lack of a helmet is solved: buying minimate versions that in a convinient way fit the 3.75 movie figures. & as for getting them at retail I frequent the stores everyday so I'm very wtahcful of anythign that comes by since in the morning they stock things. I guess they hate the scalpers too since they don't want customer complaining about the lack of figures in store so I'm really happy about that.

Does anyone have a picture of what odin with minimate looks like? I'm curious to see how it turns out.

I did. $8.99 for most, Laufey and Destroyer a few bucks more. Figured, gas, time, effort, etc..and the chance they may not go retail made me cave. But again, the price was really quite reasonable.

Yeh for the most part $9 is not bad to be paying for a figure, if only these were all equally awesome and worth the price with DECENT accessories. I will attempt to get this wave, if it hits retail.

That Laufey is pretty sweet. I'll pick one of him and King Loki up if I see them in stores.

You'd thin King Loki would have come with the damn spear! hell, he fights Thor with it! Why not make that?
I made my own from the minimates version, and it's cool as heck, but from a toy line POV, it's lame to omit that.

I don't know that we'll see this wave in stores with 3 and 4 already announced/up for order. Which is why I buckled and amazon'd warriors 3 and destroyer.. I hope I don't regret it later, but lately I haven't regretted ordering stuff at all. Cable/IM2 last wave etc. were all stuff I got for just a few extra bucks and man am I glad I did. Retail just isn't coming through on 3.75 any more

You can easily make a Gungnir spear using the minimates version. Just cut off the end and glue it to a stick from a chickn satay (the thinest one you can find) and paint it.

just like I did in my pic (also used the minimates Odin helmet on my odin, looks perfect)

I found Fandral, Volstagg, Thor w/ helmet, and Mini Destroyer at Walmart a little while ago. No Hogun. I bought Fandral and Volstagg and passed on the other two. I'm not buying Destroyer Jr, and I'm waiting on the other Thor w/ helmet from the next wave.

I really can't believe I found these at Walmart. I figured I'd have to eventually buy them online. Still gotta find Hogun, though.

You wont regret it! I got that case and it's a great deal- currently, I'm making Hogun's helmet (which he sorely needed in the damn movie!).
Littly white pipe cleaner, Cage's dew-rag painted black and now I just gotta make the horns...

Still have not seen any wave 2 in the wild. Not even a Destroyer or helmeted Thor (which I have for trade if anyone's interested).

No, I got the light up version with my case (thanks)- I was just saying that I'd never seen one- or any of series 2- in the stores.

The light up version is cool...but his head is semi-transparant even though the light up does no extend to the head. Kinda odd, that.

I might repaint the whole thing anyway.

Wave 2 has not yet been released around the St.Louis or Memphis area.

I'm really wanting a Destroyer and helmeted Thor and Loki.
