Never really paid attention to these things...until I saw omega red lol
I was in TRU and saw the pack with him and wolvie.
I'm a big omega red fan(can't wait til we get a MU version).
So I caved in and bought it
Then I saw magneto...and silver centurion iron man.
Ended up buying 3 packs of these things.
I feel like I made a big mistake, these look addicting lol

Mmmmm Omega Red. Lets bring out a MU Abomination too? Haha. I couldn't collect these, even though they have cooler variations than MU

Because making a Lego diorama with marvel zombie minimates in a Lego city would be silly awsome.

I have a small tin box with the dark avengers set that had Ares, Dark Hawkeye, Sentry, & Dark Ms. Marvel as well as another 2 packs one with Bucky Cap, & an AIM Soldier, & one with the bulletproof (the black & silver variation on Spidey's normal costume) & Mac Gargan as Venom but I wont be buying anymore although the cap 4 pack looked kinda cool

They are definitely fun to collect, I've been collecting them from the begining of the line and have the majority. I do love my Marvel Legends and MU figures but minimates are fun especially since you can get some obscure characters as well as different versions of characters that we probably will never see in MU.

I've always considered picking some of these up but the only place I've seen them is TRU which is a little ways away and I haven't seen any so far that scream "I HAVE to get this!" but they do look awesome for something that looks somewhat odd imo.

The figures look great, pain apps, design, size, price, but I can't afford to start collecting an entire new series of figures especially when it's not from the beginning,... I've seen some of the variants for these little guy going form some big bucks, especially like stealth iron man etc..... these are in the same line as Hottoy's cosaby's nice too look at but another line that rapes $$ from my wallet is unwanted, ML, MI AND MU is costing me enough money as we speak

Thankfully, I've been able to limit my minimate collection to just two sets: IM2 War Machine/MK V and Hulkbuster/Gamma Hulk.

Almost fell off the wagon and bought the Loki/Odin set but regained my senses when I happened to glance at the price-tags for the IM Armored Avengers 6" figures.

Saw a nice collection of mini-mates over at Tates in Fort Lauderdale, FL while on vacation (for those that dont know, one of the best collectible/comic/toy shops around) and noticed how neat most of them were. Then I saw this thread a couple of days ago. Today at TRU, saw an iron man mini mates pack for sale. Grabbed this then grabbed a couple of others but then put them down so that I didnt start collecting something else.

Very cool little figures with removable helmets, a couple of hair accessories and an extra set of hands which I didnt know were included. Im going to hopefully stay away but I have to admit that I really like these little guys and my wife didnt help by saying how cool they are.

You did make a mistake. They are as addicting as crack.
I started just to get X-Force, then it evolved to getting X-Force and all armored heroes, now it's dammit anyone that looks cool, soon it'll be gotta get em all. I fear that day.

In response to this thread and to trebleshot... looking on the marvel universe appreciation page, I couldn't help but fall in love with the custom work of stjuggernaut, he took the helmet from the minimates figure, cut away the peg inside and sanded the hair of odin down a bit to make it look amazing,.. also he used the staff that came with him and a stick to make his Gungnir.... I may have to buy this figure just for the sole purpose ... also I might be getting a guy to commision me a thrown haha...

to give you an idea of how awesome this guy's work is check this out

blackmarkerstain's deviantART favourites

dioramas by sillof on deviantART

dioramas by sillof on deviantART

dioramas by sillof on deviantART this is what I want, but retooled and capturing the movie type imagery...

guaranteed someone just came looking at these pics, check out his profile and the rest of his custom figures, he's as good if not better then Jin Saotome. His paint and attention to detail is sickening... I just hope I can get what I want without giving him my arm and leg.

Bought my first set a couple of weeks ago; the one with deadpool, wolvie, spidey and venom.
They looked really nice, lots of accesories and you can tell there is love in their making. Problem is that the lady of the house found out and forbid me of starting another collection XD
Probably will just get the ghostbusters and that´s it.

I bought one of the Ghostbusters MM packs. They're pretty cool looking and all, but I have to draw the line somewhere.
