No one will buy these. No one knows who Brodie is and even if they care enough to want a Jay figure the likeness is terrible. The figure looks like a football player, not a skinny druggie.

Those are the standard editions that are missing pieces. These are the Select editions with the diorama pieces. Toys R Us does not carry the Select versions of DST releases.

That's what I was thinking. I was eyeballing the Brodie to see if there were any customs I could make out of him when they first hit TRU a couple weeks back. They got in 3 of each. Two days later, I went back and they were sold out. The only ones that really linger around here are the black & white ones, and even those sell pretty quickly compared to some lines.

Yeah, I gave him the once-over as well for custom potential...I thought he might make a good base for a Headcrab Zombie I'm working on, but the brown jacket was a deal-breaker (I like to avoid painting when I can for articulation's sake).

Pity, the dio pieces are the only redeeming quality to these. Even the basic Gotham figures have SOMETHING with them.

CCC.

From my late teens and into early adulthood, I identified with Brodie, and saw him as a kindred spirit, along with many other lovable slackers, like Jeff Spicoli, Scott Pilgrim, and of course

Recently... lol ... I've begun to realize that I'm becoming less and less like Jason Lee as Brodie, and more and more like Jason Lee as Earl Hickey, from "My Name is Earl" .

I think I may need to pick up this Brodie figure, just so I can keep him around as a wake-up call, lol !
