I am chomping at the bit here waiting for news. Nothing on the web so far that I can find.

Probably nothing until Noon PST. That seems to be when they like to drop items in their store.

After all the anticipation built up over the weekend, I hope it's more than just a text announcement confirming what we already assumed about the Thundercats Classics line continuing, but we may not even see the figures themselves until they are presumably shown at Power Con this weekend.

So it looks like its basically ultimate versions of the Mattel releases minus Pumyra.

Wow, what a letdown. Not a single NEW figure in the bunch. This might be a hard sell for many people who already got the original figures. And why are they $45 each now instead of the usual $35 price for the previous Ultimate MOTUC figures Super 7 has been selling?! Is Super 7 having to pay more for the licensing fee and therefore have to gouge us as well? I can understand re-releasing the previous figures for those who missed them, but how about ALSO offering a pack with just the new heads and accessories in it as an alternative for those of us who already have the original figures, instead of forcing us to double dip on existing figures for just those new pieces?

So much for that rumor mentioned earlier in this thread of a 6-figure wave with NEW figures in it. Where's the unreleased Grune and Jaga that Super 7 showed at Power Con last year??

Maybe new figures will be revealed this weekend at power con. But yeah, a little bit underwhelming news. Good news for people who missed out on them originally tho.

I forsee many of the original Mattel figures getting dumped on Ebay soon for those who plan to upgrade. Also the original Pumyra is still in stock at BBTS for $30.

I really hope so. Notice these are all being offered as individual preorders rather than forcing people to preorder the entire wave like they do with MOTUC. So maybe that means Jaga and Grune could be late additions after Power Con. That would be some small consolation for not getting any other new figures in this first batch -- I don't consider Jaga and Grune entirely "new" since we were supposed to get those figures 4 years ago.

I noticed in Super7's pic that Jackalman still has that assembly error of his lower legs being on the wrong legs

It would be nice if Super 7 would post a side-by-side comparison of each figure with the original Mattel versions. I'm curious to see if the new Lion-O is taller than the old one. I hope it's not simply just a new headsculpt.

I'm torn. I want to support, love that they are doing it. But I have every one of the original releases. And these are those, with upgrades. Yes, upgrades are awesome. But, do I need them again. This is the conversation I am having in my head.

I hope they tease out some protos for Season 1 characters not done yet - Tygra, Cheetara, Slithe, Jaga. Every time some company starts this they never finish the core characters. Let's see if Super 7 can stick the landing.

I'm going to hold off on getting any of these until we see what else might be revealed at Power Con. If they add Jaga and Grune to this initial line-up, then that'll be a good start. But I'm really hoping they also tease a few more figures for a 2nd wave later on (prototypes, sketches, whatever in a powerpoint presentation). I can see many collectors being very reluctant to jump on board AGAIN with this line after getting burned the first time by Mattel, especially for these inflated prices. We need assurance that more is definitely coming beyond these 4 figures rather than fearing the future of the line is entirely dependant on how well 4 figures WE ALREADY HAVE sell.

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with this announcement. I have all the Mattel figures, so I'm not sure I'm going to get these. At least give me one new character.

Wow. Deflated. I own all of these. And I’m not spending $180 on figures I already own.

Then I'm definitely waiting to see if Super 7 somehow sugarcoats this crushing disappointment with the promise of more at Power Con this weekend before pre-ordering any of them. If Super 7 is naively thinking everyone will be all excited about just these 4 figures alone and the future of the line is banking on how well these sell, then this line is already dead on arrival.

Pass for me. I was hoping for something impressive, and these don't do it for me.

I'm eager to see how Pixel Dan spins this to keep in the good graces of Super 7, or if he'll share our disappointment in his next vlog. I assume he'll be attending Power Con and I hope he confronts Brian Flynn about this and tries to get some details about what the future of this line may hold if Super 7 neglects to reveal anything themselves during their presentation this weekend. I'm also curious to see if Jaga and Grune will be inexplicably absent in the figure display this weekend even though they were front and center at last year's Power Con.
