Honestly with how it seems like the skirt will limit the range of the legs, there’s no need for those double knees. They break up the sculpt of the legs and look really bad.

Perhaps the plastic of the skirt will be pliable enough for her to reasonably sit?

Because yeah, it looks like she's got tumors for knees.

You think NECA would pass up the opportunity to make that a cheap variant and stick it in a two-pack with Casey that we'll never see at retail anyway?

It's weird since they have it on so many other figures they design with no double jointed knees and just kind of have the knee cap part covering the joint. Such a weird decision, unless they're just legs from something else and they're still working on it.

Haha yeah I'm figuring they're going to do as many variants as they can, especially since she's so enthusiastic about it.

Hmm... that sounds like some NECA insider info there.

I'd like to keep the double knees and hopefully get much more range. Skirt is looking tight!

The hair is legendary. I'm also hoping that won't stifle the head and neck articulation too much.

There is no ab/chest articulation. Which feels expected, but, the whole figure is giving off a stiff vibe. I'm really hoping it's not a statue because it looks AMAZING. SO PERFECT. NECA is holy rolling.

I really want her figure to emote. COME ALIVE!

No joke. I saw the first release of Super Shredder, and was almost tempted, but the giant stripes of white paint ruined the design for me so the temptation was averted.

Then yesterday I see a wall of 24 of the “Shadow Super Shredder” with no white stripes and a better paint job, and felt angry on behalf of those who bought the first one.

I totally understand Neca’s need to make money. They are a business, not a charity. I just think them releasing two of the same mold that look so similar is insulting. If they made a clear version, or a pixelated “Turtles in Time” version, etc, I’m fine with it. I’m just not a fan of the “first one was ok, this is a MORE ULTIMATE version.”

Maybe I’m alone there. That being said, the sculpt on April looks good. My daughter usually finds the movie figures and buys them for me, so I’ll probably get her at some point. Just hope she doesn’t get two “ultimate” versions 6 months apart.

I originally didn't prefer the first Super Shredder, but the stripes make him look more animated. Which works for my cartoon display even though he wasn't in the OG cartoon.

IF I could ever FIND a Super Shredder.

From the photos, if you look close at the back full body view, it looks like the skirt may be slit up the side, if this makes it into the final product, and they use the same ultra soft material that they used for Casey's vest, we may be able to get some dynamic poses out of her.

Yeah, they can release one with unmasked Casey. One with Danny in his black t-shirt and another with... Charles or better Sam Rockwells character as her mugger.

Enjoying the videos. It's really cool to see the actor actually be this involved, she's so enthusiastic.

I am super stoked about this. April with an alt head sculpt/expression, Casey with his mask off, hopefully he'll come with his mask as a separate accessory and an alt head sculpt too. Without having to purchase a separate accessory pack too. Thank you NECA, can't wait!

Why is NECA making such a big deal about this figure? I mean, it's cool and all that they're making it, but they never go this in-depth with their other, more high-profile releases. It's just strange.

I'd say it has to be because the actual actress that the figure is modeled after is so enthusiastic about the figure being made. Typically, movie actors don't show much interest in action figures being made for their characters. In this case however, Judith Hoag seems very enthusiastic about having her own action figure made. I would imagine Judith was the one that suggested to NECA the idea of all of the behind the scenes footage showing the making of her figure.

Yeah, most of this was Judith's doing. She was actively campaigning for a figure to be made of April, and got fans on board via Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, etc. She's super active and is approaching it for not just toy fans, but her general following on her social media pages.
