Ay you are correct. I re-looked at the website and those links don't give any actual SKU or product numbers.

Looking at the NECA twitter, I see some people saying they used the following SKU numbers to pre-order instore, with others confirming the numbers are correct!

Try

I hope this opens up the cartoon stuff.

Again,I am so happy that Neca can share these perfect figures with everyone now....no one should have to miss out on these. No one!

Niceee thanks for the heads up. Was able to order a set of all 4. NOT happy about paying $22 shipping because each figure has a separate shipping charge, but I’ll take paying that over NOT getting these figures.

I’m still gonna stop in a store and try to get a pre-order in. Shouldn’t be a shipping charge that way bc it would be store pickup when they release.

Yeah, what the hell is that about? That's a bit unreasonable.
Thanks for the information though, guys. Laid down a pre-order, but if I can simply put a few bucks down in an actual store now to claim them later on, I think I'll save myself the headache and go that route.

That's actually a legit beef. I wouldn't blame someone for being annoyed if they went nuts trying to get the figures because they didn't think they'd ever be available again, only to see that hit retail (albeit in a slightly stripped down form) a short time later.

But otherwise, I think this is a great thing NECA's doing.

Since the Gamestop exclusive Pennywise dropped a few months early, anyone think the Turtles will pop up sooner than expected as well?

I was thinking about it and ordered another set just to get extra hands for my set and then I'll sell the turtles w/ the standard gripping hands.

I was able to get the SDCC set in the pre-order. I got it with the diorama. I wanted these figures because they are a combination of some of my favorite things (TMNT, Jim Henson, and highly detailed figures). Had I known they would have been released individually down the line, I may not have gone all out on the exclusive set. I would have liked NECA to have announced this prior to the pre-sale. I'm sure they couldn't for whatever reason, but I wish i had known this back in June.

That being said, I am glad that the figures are seeing a wider release. My hope is it will lead to a wide release of their up coming Foot Clan member in 7" scale as well as their Shredder which has yet to be released. Plus a Splinter and Casey would be nice too.

Big Henson fan too, I actually bought these to display alongside my Palisades Muppets and my McFarlane Jareth!

When the 1/4 scale Donatello was released, I did a faux 7" scale Ultimate Figure box design (I've done a bunch of those). Figured I'd revisit it using photos of the actual 7" figure that I took. While I like the packaging that we're getting, would have loved to have had them in this style box.

D'oh! Well, too late I guess, lol. I should have thought of that but until I got a Nintendo Switch I hadn't had much reason to go to Game Stop and now they carry a lot of figures and toys so.... Ahh well, I'm just glad to have them ordered. I don't think i can cancel my online preorder now.

Have you collected the Diamond Select Muppets line? I loved Palisades back in the day, but the Muppets Select line has done some amazing things, like giving Rowlf his upright piano and giving Statler and Waldorf a balcony.

Unfortunately the line has almost come to and end with the 4th series being on life support with Chef being on pre-order for a year and a fear that the Electric Mayhem may go incomplete, unless Chef really sells well.

I haven't, I really wanted to support any Muppet endeavors but (these are just my opinions) I felt like the DS line was kinda sub par. The sculpts were really soft to me and lack detail, which is a common problem with Select figures, and while people say they're more accurate to the actual puppets I gotta give the edge to Palisades, the Gonzo Diamond made looks like a caricature and their postponed Sam the Eagle looked like a bodybuilder (though I will say the Miss Piggy looked good). Side complaint, I really think they should've continued in whatever scale Palisades is, the same way NECA made their Simpsons figures the same scale as Playmates, they probably would've had more people buying them to fill holes in thier collections, it would've allowed for more surface to add more detail, and the packaging wouldn't have seemed so empty (another common complaint). So, long story short, I haven't: D

I see where you are coming from. I collected almost the entire Palisades line (only missing a rare exclusive here and there) so part of me was happy for the change in scale. Plus I can fit the entire line on a single small shelf, minus the Electric Mayhem which I kept separate.

As for likeness, it varied from figure to figure which was more accurate. Some were better, some where worse, some were about the same. Beaker interested me the most with the interpretation of his body. Plus there was some great pose-ability all around where the Palisades line lacked in the beginning.

That being said, nothing will compare to the days of Palisades. It was back before the crazy over saturation of high end collectibles. Looking forward to the next series, wondering what obscure character would be mixed in with the next improved version of a main character. I remember stumbling upon series 1 by accident at my local Suncoast, seeing them in the corner window as I was on my way out of the mall. Not to mention all my income was disposable at the time...

Anyway, sorry for taking this way off topic.

So is the February release date a placeholder or is that when I can actually get my hands on them?

Gamestop has me all confused. I know when I ordered mine the cheapest shipping PER figure was $5.99 each which is why I payed $22 something and it is called “value shipping”.

People on twitter have tweeted pictures showing that they received free shipping by placing the order. And its not value shipping it’s expedited. Is this because of a gamestop membership or something? I know theres a paid membership and a free membership, but I have neither.

I've got a Gamestop online account (free) and the $5.99 shipping was the only option for me. I'm not sure about the paid membership. I've already pre ordered mine online but I may just end up going into a store at some point to see if I can get them shipped to the store for free as some others have been able to do.
