Anyway I exaggerate, I'm not completely out of collecting just focusing on my main love ( Transformers ). The Turtles however have a special place in my heart so I need to pick them up. I'm skipping on Shredder and Krang now though cause I hear that Krang only has 5 POA and that while Shredder has upper body articulation like the Turtles, his lower body articulation sucks donkey balls.

Well, the wife wants a set of the Turtles.

Guess I'll add those to the hunting list.

Eeee...I want these so bad. Unfortunately there is no Toys-R-us near here. So I'm gonna have to wait of mass release.
Which may actually be a good thing, given my personal funs are not great right now.

Shred actually looks a little better here then the early photos did. I was originally torn on skiping his fig, but I think I'll probably pick it up.

I even like Emo-Punk April....but that's personal preference.
Not really getting an emo vibe off of April. Colors are too bright. She's got more of a hipster mall punk thing going on.

dang, called my TRU but they didn't get em in yet. debating picking up donatello or raphael first or just getting all 4 on the spot if possible.

haha yeah, man. tho i actually picked up the NECA turtles when they were released and while i love em, the 90's cartoon is what drew me in. also the physicality for each of the turtles is what's really selling me on top of the articulation. took this screen grab from optibotimus's youtube review:

always been a fan of having them be different heights and builds since so much of our personalities can be derived from that.

also, saw a pic of one of em standing next to a joe type figure. the turtles are kinda huge in comparison. still can't wait to see these in stores.

That makes me want them even more, Noodle!
I had no idea they were different sizes and proportions like that!
I love that Mikie is short (It helps to sell him more as the "youngest" of the group, instead of the most immature). I love that Donny is tall and lanky, I love that Leo is balances, and that Raph is a tad bulkier than the rest.

Judging by the lack of articulation of the other figures in the wave I begin to doubt that this line will last very long. *sigh*

There's a pic on fwoosh here. They do look a bit bulky compared to the Snake Eyes.

Grabbed some my TRU. They just had cases on the floor, no shelf space set up yet.

Just opened mine a bit ago. Was just gonna get the Turtles but I had a 10 off 50 coupon for TRU so I grabbed Shredder and Krang as well. Turtles are great, Shredder is okay, Krang is shit.

Aside from the turltes themselves, the line suffers from 'lolplaymates'.

I think Donatellos shoulders are reversed line wide. They sit a little off and force the elbowpad at an outward angle which gets in the way of his ability to bend his elbows while they face inward. It really hurts his two handed staff poseability. Looks like more trouble than its worth to fix them. I could be wrong and it could just be bad design, but I think swapping them would fix it.

Are the large $25 turtles same design and movement as the smaller ones just in larger scale?

Yeah I was hoping to use my $10 off coupon on them as well before it expires.

On one hand that's fine as it keeps me from collecting the whole line, but on the other hand it really sucks because other folks can't pose them how they want. How the decision was made to give only the Turtles articulation I'll never know.

Can you tell us the UPC code off of the receipt so we can check and see if our Toys R Us has them?
