I guess I shouldn't keep my hopes up for any Bungie era merchandise to come out of NECA's Halo license.

I'm going to blame you if they fail to deliver then. Deal?

Something worth noting is that if this figure really is 18 inches tall, then it is smaller than 1/4 scale, because Master Chief is supposed to be 7 feet tall. At 1/4 scale, that should make him 21 inches tall. That's not a complaint though, since this figure is top quality and probably too heavy already.

head seems kinda smaller in the newer shots and the arm leg chest head proportions just seem off somewhere. like the aesthetics of the body don't seem to match 100%

The Chief looks great. If I ever own a figure this size/scale, this will probably be it. Should be interesting to see who they might do next. They probably wouldn't do it, but a Cortana figure sized to how big she was compared to the Chief at the end of Halo 4 would be cool.

I'm guessing this will be their only Halo mold. I could see maybe a battle damaged paint job to recoup some extra cash from the tooling. But I honestly don't expect there to be another all-new Halo figure in this scale from NECA.

They are mostly 1 and done with this size class, and mostly just the main characters and a repaint if they can squeeze it in there. Captain America (battle damaged repaint), Superman (black suit repaint), Iron Man (repainted at least 3 times), Thor, Batman (1 each 66, 89, Arkham Origins), Ledger Joker. They still haven't done a Zod, Jor-El, Chitauri, Loki, Bale Batman, Iron Patriot, War Machine, etc.

Oh, ok... It's too bad they don't typically do more in this scale.

Thinking of the reuse pissibilities of this mold, a battle damaged version is certainley an option. Assuming the first release doesn't have it, a battle damaged Chief could come with his Halo 5 cloak.

Part of me hopes they still have the licensing when 343i inevitabley reveals Master Chief's full face. An un-helmeted release of this would be cool. Though by the time that happens in one of the games his armor could have changed again.

They've so-far shown off the prototypes for this and the helmet. There was a mention of possible prop replicas in the press release, so hopefully we'll see something come of that.

This looks really good, except that it has to be the Halo 4 design. I'm a Halo fan, but Halo 4 was such an awful entry into the series and changed so much of what made Halo what it was that I consider it a separate reboot franchise. If only NECA had the rights to make it based on the Halo 2/3 armor.
