I must have that Iron Giant.

That Iron Giant figure is a dream come true for me. The original toys go for absurd prices on eBay. The bolt replica is also a terrific idea.

That Lil Mikey figure is cute, and the one based on the first piece of TMNT artwork should be interesting. That too was Mikey... well... it had his chucks anyways.

A sixth-scale Hitchcock sounds cool. I wonder who else they might do in that scale. TMNT figures would be cool. Especially ones based on the new movie.

I wonder what they would do with the Batman TaS licensing if they got it. I'm guessing vinyls like the TMNT figures.

"I want to be Todd McFarlane for this generation of toys and get it to where it's not OK to put out crappy toys," Ishmael says. "If you put out crappy toys, they won't sell because there's all this good stuff next to it."

I would love for that to be the case, but Mcfarlanes stuff wasn't limited edition and incredibly expensive. As with their posters, I am thinking I will end up enjoying their toys from afar.

I have a problem with this statement: McFarlane toys pretty quickly changed from selling toys to selling statues/figurines, and I actually like those more (I display more Spawn statues/figurines than the old toys), but they were no longer comparable as toys when they got really good with the sculpt and paint. Now Mcfarlane toys only sells Halo and Sports figures, which slightly annoys me because the logo for his company is the Spawn symbol, I suppose my point is that isn't a great goal to reach for: becoming the statue seller and being dropped from Wal-Mart for it.
More on topic: I love the Iron Giant and I think it's great that it's seeing some new toys.

Remember once upon a time McFarlane set the bar for action figures.
Then the 4 Horsemen....so its good to see other 3p stepping into the arena...hopefully we'll see more 3p delivering figures that we use to want mattel and DC to make. Now if we can get a Legion of Doom headquarters made that would be totally awesome

I like that the Iron Giant will be made to order based on preorders so it should be easy to get one.

This has instantly become my most anticipated toy of 2014. I have the Ultimate version and love it, but I've always wanted a more updated and posable version. Can't wait to see more at SDCC.
