This came out too damn good. I've had to pass on it though not because of the price (which is actually pretty good reckoning the size of it), but because it's so big. It takes up more space than a 1/4 scale figure technically and I just don't have the room. Maybe one day I'll get a coffee table just to have extra space for this figure.

I have the series 2 Big Chap and Blue Warrior and then the series 3 Dog Alien, I've seen the humans (and Bishop) in person but passed so I could focus on the xenomorphs. I highly recommend all of them so far, look them over for any problems before you open to be safe. As a toy my favorite is the Dog, the detailing is overall pretty the same on the different xenomorphs but the Dog just has so much more usable pose. Really excited for NECA to start making Kenner homages for Aliens like in their Predator line.

Great pics. I'm still waiting for her to show up at TRU.

She won't. NECA said on Twitter that TRU was not willing to sell the queen at their physical locations, just online. The pro to ordering her online is how many places will give you free shipping for her, the cons are not getting to look it over before purchase and the fact you pretty much have to buy it online. My local comic shop got two of her, but they upped the price by like thirty dollars.
I never expected TRU to carry the queen in stores, most of them don't even get the 1/4 scale stuff because it's too big.

If you have an FYE near you, check there. They keep the NECA stuff at the same price as Toys R Us, and carry the larger items.

I'm lucky enough to have an independently-owned collectibles shop in my area, and since their NECA selection is usually pretty good, I've been hoping that they'll get a couple of Queens in stock soon. My confidence in NECA and their QC has grown a lot over the past few months, but I'd still prefer to look this figure over in person before dropping over $100 on her.

That's one slick looking figure and that come's from a guy who has zero connection to the alien franchise! Man, I have no idea how they managed to put that amount of paint detail on a mass produced figure of that size, but it looks freaking amazing.
Your pictures really showcase that beauty of a figure, good job man! |

Hastings is also a good place to find some NECA stuff of larger size, such as ED-209, 1/4 scale figures, two feet long Godzilla, Predator trophy wall, etc. Hastings is seriously the only way in my local area to get a lot of different collectibles since my local TRU isn't particularly reliable.

Sorry man. Not sure what spots in that area carry this stuff. Do you have an FYE equivalent like Suncoast or Hastings?

We have Tradesmart, but I was there yesterday and they don't have the queen.

Apparently in some areas. Someone commented on Twitter that they grabbed the Snake Plissken there. I was just as shocked to hear it.

Got mine last week from ThinkGeek's 20% off sale (so $80 with $7 shipping). B*tch is beautiful, but her hand snapped off as soon as I tried to move it. Have to exchange it.
I'm pretty new to NECA - is there anyway to avoid this issue when my replacement arrives? |

Use the hairdryer method before you try moving any parts, and if that doesn't work on the spot DO NOT try and force it, just let it be for a while and try again later. They're the modern McFarlane toys, looks over play and you gotta put a good amount of caution into it. I've been collecting NECA since September 2013 now and so far I've had no breakage from my part (Coyote Tango's right cannon wasn't glued on to begin with so that's not anything I could've done).
