Chewy looks good. Wish the gray on his hands and feet was a little more covered. Other than that, pretty solid.

Lol, I'm soooo envious of you right now ! Chewie looks so good !

Despite all of my hunting, I still haven't found him yet. I guess I should be happy that I was lucky enough to find Darth Vader though.

They are shipping from regular retailers now, like Entertainment Earth, so they should be easier to find soon.

Luke turned out great. The swappable chest plate is interesting. Vader looks good as well. The pyre scene is a nice touch.

Thanks. Yeah, this wave brought the Black Series back for me. It was getting a bit boring. This wave is 4 solid figures, no fronting. Shadow Troopers and White Boba are next on the list.

The Vader helmet is definitely a bit too large. But, it does come off into multiple pieces without head swapping, which is pretty cool.

"Since soft goods are being used in this line, it would be nice to get a cloak for use in some Jabba scenes"

I believe that he wears a slightly different costume in those scenes anyway, so the cape wouldn't have been necessary for this particular version of Luke.

Just looked it up, you are right. My star wars love is "hyper casual", mostly from when I was a kid. I just always thought black Luke = Jedi. Learn something new every day.

The lower area of Vader looks so much better than it did earlier this year, but his helmet looks a little bigger. They should have just done alternate heads instead.

And what is up with Luke's face?

The helmet would have looked better if it wasn't removable for Vader, and using soft-goods for the torso sash-things is too much soft-goods. I can't escape the feeling that the abundance of soft-goods makes it look closer to being a doll than an action figure, much like the Emperor seen at NYCC (it's still an action figure but so much soft-good is very doll-like). Still, we probably won't get another 6" Vader if they do another it'd probably just be a re-release of this figure so what choice do I get, at least it looks good with troopers.

That would have been a good option. I was thinking that these figures reach a broader audience that includes children, making avoidance of mouth-sized parts a priority, but that would also rule out the little guns and accessories, so I guess they just decided to be ambitious with the removable helmet. It's a touch on the large side, but you have to give them credit for overall success.

Luke seems frail. He needs to bulk up - eat more protein, and spend more time exercising at the Academy.

Don't care for the plastic articulated cape (a plastic cape is fine, but when it has articulation it looks wrong), and I especially don't care for the jacked up Japanese import costs that get thrown on. I also don't know how that will stack up to this Hasbro figure size-wise.

I actually really like this figure. I hear what people are saying about the alternate heads but I disagree. I think that the way they did it kinda tells the story better. This allows Vader to hold the helmet, or you can pose him maybe with Luke taking off the Vader's helmet. As opposed to just having two seperate looks. It's really ambitous that they did this, instead of doing what's expected. If you want a non removable helmet Vader, you can pick from several versions. This version is more unique. I'm glad too that they went with a slightly larger helmet as opposed to a tiny head

Also, why are complaining about the size of Vader's head?! Have you seen the Luke figure?! His head is freakin HUGE lol
I see them releasing a 2 pack with Luke maybe in time for Christmas. Possibly a final fight scene that's made out of cardboard lol

That would be the hilarious version by Revoltech. Figuarts appears to be pursuing the rubber option.

The Black Series version of Vader's human face is really quite good for the scale and price point.

Thanks to whomever supplied the photos.

If you check out his back though and the shoulder area of the cape you can see they gave it some degree of articulation, not nearly as silly/absurd as the revoltech Vader, but not what I would consider optimal appearance-wise. Plus like I said there's the Japanese import price bump, and I'm not sure how it'd size up (for all I know size-wise it works, but the cape does look like it's plastic with some articulation).

If anyone has owned the Revoltech Vash figure, articulated cape is the way to go....to eachtheir own I guess....but don't dismiss Revoltech because of the poor pose.

I'm not dismissing the Revoltech version because it has a plastic cape with pose, I'm dismissing it because it looks bad having pose the way it does. In the movie his cape is fairly hugging around him or dropped back over his shoulders, not floating above them like the Revoltech figure. Other than the cape the Bandai and Revoltech figures look fine.

That's probably the best-looking Luke we've gotten out of the line so far. I may need to get two to swap out the head on the Bespin version.
