Customer Service has been getting a lot of inquires about the status of the Doomsday figures. Unfortunately delivery of Doomsday is currently being held up due to the strike at the Port of Los Angeles.

Though this situation is truly beyond our control, we realize that this doesn’t make it any easier. We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and promise to get you your Doomsdays as soon as humanly possible.
Please note this Strike ended nearly 1 month ago it also appears that Damien Wayne Robin my be held up. I have to admit I am so glad I no longer need to do business.. Keep delaying Mattel. It's possible that many of the November and December orders will be delayed until after the New Year. I guess this quarter for Mattel will post a loss

The strike is still currently keeping things from shipping on time. I don't know any of the specifics and this is the first that I've heard of it being "over", but my copy of the collector's edition of Guilty Gear Xrd is delayed a week.

HOw about Mattel actually send their employees out to the boat to physically pick up their products? Problem solved.

It's the reason the G.I. Joe Club's subscription figures are also delayed until next year.

I'm having a similar situation due to the strike....only it's not with Mattel, but a replacement part for my Hot Toys Robocop. It's a real crappy situation.

Dang! It sounds like Christmas gifts will be delayed for kids and grown-ups. Where's Santa when we need him?

My bad! Santa's been rather perplexed by the gift I asked for, so he might be rather indisposed for awhile.

Anyway, while some of it may be out of control from Mattel's hands, they are still responsible for not having the products instock before they sold them. Not only that, but they should offer people a discount, a refund, or combined shipping for those who want Damian and Doomsday.

Because sending workers out to the dozens of ships, carrying as many as 10,000 unmarked 20-foot cargo containers each, sounds perfectly safe and reasonable.

This is not the site to discuss the practices of unions or their tactics, or to rail against those who may be union members.

I think that's getting TOO touchy. Union talk that is. First Amendment and all that [or Section 2 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. As I am a Canadian and that's all that matters]

Postal strikes are no fun. Canada Post was on strike for a loooooong time and it was such a pain. Not sure if Canada Post is union or not but they get paid more than me and drive around and deliver mail and ask for more money on imported items.

Greed is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch.

I ordered doomsday and a bunch of MOTUC stuff on 11/26/14 for Christmas presents for my older siblings... I hope they get here before Christmas. I emailed mattel a few days ago but they responded saying they don't know when it will ship. I asked them if they could send the stuff that is ready... I hope they can.

Might as well post this in case anyone thought they might actually offer an out to customers under these "special" circumstances...

"Thank you for contacting the MattyCollector.com online store.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

We have received your request to cancel shipment of your order;
unfortunately we were unable to do so. Your order was processed for
shipment immediately upon completion, and no changes were able to be
made.
Please be informed that MattyCollector.com DOES NOT accept
cancellations. Once an order has been completed it cannot be cancelled.
This applies to all orders, including subscriptions.

You will be receiving a shipping notification email shortly. If you do
not wish to receive the shipment and you would like a refund, you may
refuse delivery.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

In an effort to continuously improve the customer experience, we would
like your feedback through a brief survey. It should only take a few
minutes of your time.

I say email them back and tell them it obviously is ot ready for shipping and you will claim fraud charges on them if they do not refund you your money.

This is Mattel. By their mentality once it went on the ship it shipped. Damien Robins have shipped. This is why I opted to go third party. I got both Doomsday and Robin while Mattel has yet to ship to people who ordered almost 30 days ago. By the way even a bad lawyer could argue that the items haven't shipped technically it's not sold. I'd do that survey and flat worst them.

I'd just go through the credit card company and cancel the payment. You haven't received anything and so far they have just stolen from you. This probably wouldn't be the first time your CC company had to cancel payments over things like this.

This is probably your best route, i had a similar situation on the past and the credit card company took over.

Now if only Credit Card Companies would buy movie rights for "The Interview" and put it in theaters :P

I just got the following email:

Thank you for your recent order, which contained the Doomsday figure. Delivery of Doomsday is currently delayed due to a strike at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. The strike ended at the end of November, however, there is still a backup in unloading shipping containers and distributing product. Please know that we are in daily contact with our shipping partners and actively working to get your product to you.
In the meantime, we have begun shipping partial orders without the Doomsday figure, as follows:
Shipment of all December subscription orders
Shipment of all Cyber Monday orders
Shipment of all non-subscription December orders
Doomsday will then be shipped separately, at no additional cost to you, as soon as we receive him. Though this situation is beyond our control, we deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We realize this doesn't make the situation any easier and want you to know that we are doing everything in our power to get you your order as quickly as possible.
