It would have made more sense, sure, but part of having Steve still doing SHIELD ops dressed as Captain America and carrying around the shield was part of showing off the disconnect between him and how he really felt about the secret spy stuff.

I need to get one of these and practice throwing it like Sam did in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. What's the difference in style of throwing it so that it bounce off a tree? Versus cutting into it? Knowing the difference can mean the difference between throwing a frisbee to my brother, or decapitating him.

Seriously, some weathering would really help my interest in these shields. If they do a Final Battle dirty (or even damaged!) version I'm sold!
