They announced Keith David would be reprising Spawn months ago but goddamn I relish actually getting to hear it now. Seeing the gameplay though makes me wish the figure came with more than just the sword.
Gotcha, if they move beyond 11 Mileena is easily one of the most popular characters who isn't in it so she would be a no-brainer. I'd get her MKX look myself, I'd also really dig MKX Goro.

If we're talking characters/costumes beyond MK11 I definitely want MK9 Scorpion.

I can see them doing both, and a repaint of this one with more weapons. Good chance we got more articulated Spawns coming... |

Personally Scorpion's MK9 look just does nothing for me, it's overly busy. I always used his alt costume in that game. We could maybe get his MK11 OG Ninja skin (evil/young Scorpion in story mode) as a figure, I'd get that.

I found him at Walmart yesterday.
![]() Pretty impressive figure, but I would have preferred his axe from Soulcalibur II lol |

Two of my local stores were on that list to receive him, but there's still no sign of him. There's not even a peg or tag on the shelf for him. |

Just get the previously-released Commando Spawn and transfer his weapons/ammo/etc to the new MK Spawn. But as Tony said, I'm sure they'll release a Commando variant of the MK figure eventually. It would be so easy to do.

I honestly couldn’t believe how fast he hit shelves after the images surfaced, but I found him in the video game / collector area. He had his own peg and was next to the other mcfarlane stuff and the Gundam figures.

Now McFarlane should do a Commando Spawn version with a lot of guns and a Medieval Spawn with a giant axe and I will buy it.

He was available to pre-order on Amazon but is now not available through Amazon https://www.amazon.com/McFarlane-Toy...s%2C169&sr=1-1.

They also did a skin for Jacqui Briggs (character in game) which is a female Hellspawn. That could be cool on shelf too. |

I noticed after seeing some gameplay but if you look close Commando Spawn is actually kind of armored looking like the Arkham Batsuits.

I think it might be based on the texture the Color Tops commando Spawn had.

Actually, you are correct. Gameplay I couldn't tell, but that pic I posted above it's visible. So I guess they need 3 other new sculpts to do it right.

Both of the gamestops near me said that Spawn was not in store but still available to pre-order, but will release on April 13. I'll wait for amazon to get more.

Yeah, site reads 4/13/2020 now. Not sure if I misread that originally as 3/13 or if it changed.

Did a trip to several Walmart stores in my area. One of them was on that list and still none of them had the figure. Neither did any GameStop nor Target I checked.
Amazon: Stopped selling it. GameStop.com & Walmart.com: Sold out. As it is, now places like Big Bad Toy Store and Entertainment Earth have it up for preorder, but it arrives in May, not March. Scalpers are loving this. So, "don't worry if you can't find one" eh? I think McFarlane needs to try and make more accurate announcements, make sure the stores they list actually have what they say they should have, and increase supply with demand. I think they underestimated how popular this figure would be. |

I think they underestimated how popular this figure would be. Which BTW the McFarlane site that had the announcement with the link to the figures doesn't work. It won't bring up any Spawn figures. But you manually type in "Mortal Kombat Spawn figure", that is when Walmart will show it's results for one, in stock or not. I am willing to lay odds that this will be the only Articulated Spawn figure coming out. Going forward will be plastic statues again. I kind of wish another company can take over for Spawn merch. There is clearly demand for it, and even if McFarlane continues going forward with Spawn, will it be any good. I feel like all efforts to making good figures went into this one and that's it. I have yet to pull the trigger on any of the DC figures because of their poor execution. |

The DC figures might not look exactly how you want them to, and there's a curious choice of design here or there, but they are definitely not "poorly executed." As bizarre as the Detective Comics #1000 Batman looks in the packaging due to it's ugly ab joint and skipping of leg day, I was surprised by how well the articulation works, how sturdy and balanced it was, and how playable the thing actually is.

This Spawn looks like a promising hit. |
