How is this a bait and switch sale at all? they're clearly trying to move some of their leftovers of the summer action figure supply to make way for the fall/winter season. Just because some stores didn't have anything good doesn't mean weshould complain to the BBB. The ad never promised new stock....

If they are going to have a sale at least have something to pick from.
They had this selection before the sale even started.

I don't think it's a bait and switch, TRU uses the sale to clear out some of the space taken up by peg warmers

The individual store can't control the fact that they're out of stuff right when corporate tells them to put it on sale. If that happened all across the nation, that might be one thing, but it was just at your store.

Nope wasn't just my store. Someone from California at another forum wondered if I was at their store. I'm in Illinois.
Then at Joecustoms 2 people were in the same boat I was. They both live in different states.

Hi, mostly a lurker, but I had to share this:
Hit up the local TRU, I totally forgot about the sale. I saw the signs, not expecting anything, then...SCORE. I picked up myself Skaar, Doctors Doom and Strange(colored) and Falcon. I also grabbed a Doom and Strange for my brother. All for $35

Great haul. I found out TRU near me restock at night, some guy told me that someone bought a whole case. That ticks me off scalper arrr1rrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hmm... maybe I should buy some stock in Hasbro if MU and GI Joe's figures are selling like crazy and so dang hard to find.

My TRU has been dry for two weeks now. And it's funny, I don't see the usual scalpers lurking about like I usually do, so that means they must have an inside man telling them when to show up.

I was just at 2 more dry TRU's in my area. So I know it's not just my TRU. If you advertise G.I. Joe for sale then you better have some to sell.
