Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone got the new Al Pratt Golden Age Atom figure yet and if they can tell me if he's shorter than the average figures as he's meant to be or if he's the same height as everyone? It's not a dealbreaker for me if he isn't 5'1" looking, but it'd be cool if they pulled a DC Direct and actually made him short (though DC Direct went a little over the top with this).

I saw him yesterday. Didn't pay much attention, as I'm unfamilier with the character to notice something like height difference. But he looked to be exactly the same as everyone else to me (Body wise).

YOU PASSED ON THE ATOM!? As a Canadian DCUC Collector, I'm remotely offended. I would KILL to see that wave at Canadian retail lol.

I have it pre-ordered over at BBTS. Hopefully it'll arrive soon. It's one of my most wanted waves and fills in a lot of JSA spots.

I don't have a lot of money. At the price these are, a DCUC means skipping lunch. So I try not to waist money on characters who have no meaning to me (Which revolves around Green Lantern, Green Arrow, or Teen Titans). I don't even have Ray Palmer (Aside from his Indigo Tribe), and he's pretty awesome.
I can check next time I'm out and see if they still have it for you, if you like.

That would be awesome. BUT I may just get them off BBTS after my toyfair in October. Because if you bought Al, with shipping and all that fun stuff it would probably be around 20$. And with shipping for BBTS I can get the entire wave for about 20$ each so I think doing it that way would make all of our lives easier.

That sux, the whole point of the character is that he's short!

Alright, then. I'd suggest BBTS, also. That's usually what I do for must-have waves (Like 20)

If you end up with extra STRIPE parts, please keep me in mind! I adore him, but I can't justify this entire wave exclusively for the BAF (When Stargirl is literally the only one I want)

That is a bit of a shame. They could've used a shorter buck like Tim Drake or Kid Flash but I guess it's too late now.

yeah that is a bit of a bummer, and something I didn't think about til now.

Guess I'll just grab Sandman and pass on the rest of this wave... Like I've done for every other DCUC wave.

That'll get me up to two figures from this line! Including Booster Gold.

Okay, I see that he's the same height as Superwoman and shorter than Alan Scott. I suppose that's good enough although Superwoman is as tall as Wonder Woman who is supposed to be a tall Amazonian. He's supposed to be closer to Garfield's height. Oh well, good enough. It's unlikely that they'd make another one so I'll take him as is.

Ick. Just noticed superwoman is wearing heels. If he was equal to her flat footed Id be happy. Guees he is too tall.

Dude...he's waaay to tall! I saw one at target on Monday and laughed- compared with Alan Scott (6-3") he's a giant, not a runt.
He's waaay bigger than the Jack Knight Starman.

Those picks made him look okay at first I think I may have just been fooling myself

Sadly so- my flatmate collects JSA figures...but they hosed him on the Alex Ross line- they are not in scale with the Kingdom Come figures, OR with the DCU...
He's given up on that noise.

I guess they re-used parts for Al Pratt: it's funny, the back of his card does not mention his height at all- only that he was a "slight" guy that was determined to be a superhero and the gained his powers...somethng about him being a nuclear physicist (which is total BS).

Even his heroclix mentions his height. I am so very dissapointed. If I wasn't such a fan boy and a completionist Id pass on him.

Maybe find a Wresteling fiure in a smaller scale and do a headswap? the head and capr are all you'd really need and the laced boots from a wresteling fig would match the 1940's look of an Al Pratt.

An easy custom, I'd think.

Yeah I was considering that or just cutting his legs where the boot starts. If I take an inch off
