The Transformers don't deserve to be buried, so I'm bumping this.
I bought Generations Shockwave last week (I'm a Classics collector) and wow is he tiny. I guess he mixes in well with the other Generations Cybertonian figs, but I like my TF leaders to be a little larger than their followers. Still a cool figure. Just for the hell of it I decided to check Amazon/eBay prices on some MOC figures I have.. Classics/Generations Soundwave and Megatron are going for $40ish?? Wow. Seriously, I think all toys are a waste of money, but TF's seem to hold value way more than other toylines. |

Even Deluxe WFC soundwave towers over him. He can hide completely behind a Classics seeker. Awesome figure, but definitely smaller than most previous Deluxe figures. Not quite scout small, but he's definitely close. You could almost say he's the Lockdown of scouts but at a deluxe cost. |

Heck yeah TFs hold value. Sell off a handful and you can buy a bunch of Hot Toys figures. xD

Ironically, selling my G1 collection in 2003 got me back into collecting action figures of all lines. TFs hold their value for sure.
Money was stronger when I sold off my collection but I sold 50-60 figures, all mint in very good open packaging, 100% complete. I made nearly $8000 after all was said and done. My Jetfire alone fetched like $600, completee with all packaging including the little styrofoam shim that was wedged between Jetfire and the cardboard hold down strap. I got back into them during Energon, and have casually picked and chosen from each subsequent line. I just finished up my custom FoC Shockwave, will have pics/vid up tonight! I think you'll like some of the modifications and enhancements. ![]() |

I wouldn't mind getting Swerve and Springer. Not so sure about Wheelie, since I really liked the Legends version and that's the scale I'm used to seeing him in. And Cliffjumper is a bit of a question mark as well.
Of course, being that I would have to import these, they're all an easy pass for now.

This Voyager Prime is pretty cool looking. I was going to pick it up when I thought it was $20, but it scanned $30, so I dumped it. Since they like to ram Prime and BB down our throats I'll wait for the clearance. Max Prime seems like a fair price at $30 though ($32-$33 whatever).

It transforms from a battle suit (a la Go-Bots) to a mobile battle platform (think Fort Max's middle form).
Optimus Maximus - Transformers Prime Cyberverse - TFW2005 At $30, I might bite. Trouble is, the only place I've seen it so far (Target) wants $45, I think. But it would go really well with these two: ![]() ![]() |

Since we were talking about micromasters earlier, I had an epiphany. I realized the original MMs are in scale with the Masterpiece toys. I took a photo with the twenty that i have(they didnt survive childhood very well). What do you think? Is the size off?
![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us plus, I came up with a more interesting alt mode for the new shockwave ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

Awesome Bird-of-Prey, bmorr!
I think the G1 Micromasters might be slightly undersized for the Masterpiece scale, but they are damn close. MM were supposed to be about the same size as humans wearing armor. Same goes for the regular-sized Head-, Target- and Powermasters. Even though the US fiction portrays them as the same size as their larger brethren, the smaller Headmasters and Targetmasters are actually the right scale to be considered kids (and Super God Masterforce did do this).

yeah i had to use my old DW miniseries for reference(which is a pretty good read btw) but yeah theyre basically the size of a small human.
And yeah im liking that mode for shockwave better than his space sled alt. |

im trying to stay away from new tf lines because its getting too expensive for me. 15 a fig is getting out of hand. Inflation is killing the hobby for me.

I thought TFC did an announcment saying they would work on not-Superion after they were done with not-Devastator.
I'm looking forward to seeing how he turns out, and especially how he compares with Hercules.

I got a favor to ask of you Arkers.
I am curious as to how big or small the new Shockwave from the new game line [I think] matches up with Generations Soundwave [from the first game]. Pictures would be nice =3.

Damn...A bit smaller than I hoped. Was hoping for eye to eye at least. Maybe I'll get it one day but no rush right now.
Thanks for the help Boston!
