Two new, not seen before Mighty Muggs have appeared for sale on the chinese auction site Taobao. Both are based on Generation 1 characters and it is unknown if and when they will be offered for sale. Ironhide and Prowl may be part of a fourth wave of Mighty Muggs probably offered after the Wave 3 Jazz, Shockwave, Movie Optimus Prime, and Movie Bumblebee. Wave 3 also remains unreleased and with the first two being seen on chinese message boards, and the final two at this years SDCC.

The Arker has also given us new images of two upcoming Animated repaints: Freeway Jazz and Electrostatic Soundwave. Importantly the card backs explain to us the change in appearance for both figures. Jazz becomes inmersed in Earth culture while staying undercover on the planet because of Decepticon activity, while Soundwave grew tired and traded in Laserbeak for Ratbat.
Freeway Jazz's Bio: With Decepticon activity at its peak near the galaxy rim, rumors begin to circulate that Earth may be getting more evil visitors as well. In anticipation of incoming Decepticons, Autobot Jazz goes undercover, inmersing himself in Earth culture where he hides in plain site. He can enjoy the sights and sound of Earth while planning the perfect moment to strike. Electrostatic Soundwave's bio: After a couple of years working alongside Laserbeak, Soundwave realized it was time for a change. His new partner, Ratbat, lets him lay down multiple tracks of sound at a time, creating frequencies that can do more than just control other robots. Now, Soundwave is into straight-up mind control. Using complex synch beats he can make people - and even the Autobots - do whatever he wants. Click above for all images. |

All are part of the new N.E.S.T. Global Alliance line for the 2009 movie.
Dirge's bio: Dirge thought the heart of enemy territory - N.E.S.T. Headquarters - was the perfect place from which to launch a secret campaign of terror. A single slip-up revealed his presence, and brought his plans crumbling down. Now he's running scared with Bumblebee and Armorhide on his tail. He's to firghtened to land, but so terrified of running out of fuel that he finds himself breathing a sigh of relief every time he touches down. Tuner Mudflap's bio: There was a time when Mudflap would have been intimidated by a warrior as accomplished as Sideswipe. But now, with the final battles of the war in his past, and a hot new engine and paint job, he's ready to give the Autobot sword-master a run for his money. Mudflap can't outfight Sideswipe, but there's no doubt in his mind he can out-drive the older Autobot. And Armorhide's: Things have been slow lately, so the discovery of a Decepticon hiding right under his nose was like a dream come true for Armorhide. He's enjoying working alongside Bumblebee, since his damaged vocal processor means the other Autobot can't complain about his methods. Armorhide doesn't care about stealth or safety. All he cares about is bringing Dirge crashing down. Click above to view also the cardbacks with bio. |
