Even though we have already seen images of the upcoming Burning The Fallen Target exclusive, this is the first time the Revenge of the Fallen figure has appeared in mass retail. Specifically it can now be ordered through Target's website. The new redeco changes his main hues to black and translucent orange, closely mimicking the previous Titanium War Within figure of the same name. Burning Fallen retails for $21.99.

TFW2005 member Optimus747 has been helpful enough to share a pictorial review of his Revenge of the Fallen Scout Class Brakedown. Images include comparisons to other Revenge of the Fallen scouts, and a group shot in robot and alternate modes with Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Dead End, Stuntron Wildrider, and Hasbro Special Edition Drag Strip. Brakedown is an entirely new mold for Revenge of the Fallen and homages the original Generation 1 Stunticon Breakdown.

The British Board of Film Classification has been rating the upcoming DVD and Blu-Ray releases of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen for UK release, and thanks to them, we have an extensive list of special features and Easter Eggs on the disks. This news comes to us courtesy of Transformers @ The Moon. It's a huge, long list, so click on the link above or the title of this story to see the full list. There are some deleted / altered scenes included on the disks, but they are not scenes featuring the robots - so no footage of Jolt rescued from the cutting room floor for you!
In preparation for the release of the DVD, several sites have received sneak peaks of the behind the scenes featurettes - Superhero Hype has a clip featuring the on location filming at the Pyramids of Giza. Sci Fi Cool meanwhile has a clip focusing on the mythology and how Sam's plot thread came about. Lastly, but not least, Collider has a clip talking about the filming of the action scenes. The DVD and Blu Ray versions of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen will be released in the US on October 20th, 2009. Jim Sorenson, writer of the Transformers Animated Allspark Almanac and Ark Compendium books, has listed a very special item on eBay. Jeanne Robinson, wife of noted science fiction author Spider Robinson, is suffering from a rare form of cancer, and in order to help, Jim has donated his Wedding Cake topper to the We Dream for Jeanne charity auctions. The piece features Hot Rod and Arcee together with custom bridal veil, bow tie and tux tails. It is a true unique piece and for a good cause. [quote]TFW2005 board member tfctoys has listed for auction three new Revenge of the Fallen figures. First up, we have Fast Action Battlers Autobot Arcee with a bio that reads: When Arcee fights, she fights to win. that's why she always makes sure her weapons are fully charged, her engine is tuned to perfection. When a Decepticon sees Arcee in his review mirror, he knows there's no escape. followed by Scout Class Brakedown: Decepticon scout Brakedown avoids contact with the enemy at all costs. His job is to observe and report, not fight. That's why he's geared for speed, not battle. Unfortunately for him, Mudflap has other ideas, and now he finds himself racing for his life away from the determind Autobot Warrior. and finally Scout Class Sonar: If there's one thing Sonar loves, it's leaving the Autobots all wet. There are so few of them able to pursue him into the deep ocean that he spends his time taunting them from just off shore. He can't help but laugh at the latest victim Wideload, who idles, frustrated and dripping wet, just out of cannon range. |

NTFA member Fighbird has let us know that information about 2010's Nordic Mini-Con has been posted at the NTFA Forums:
The NTFA Staff is pleased to announce Nordic Mini-Con 2010 in Aalborg! Two years ago we held the first ever Nordic Transformers convention, in Arlöv in Sweden. The convention was a big success - we had presentations, competitions, a customizing class, a popular art contest, an exhibition with some more exotic (from a Nordic perspective) Transformers figures and other sci-fi figures, a sales room, plus the worldwide première of the first episode of Transformers Animated. People came, chatted, mingled, and had fun! People have asked for it, we have been looking for opportunities to do it, and now it's time for the sequel: Nordic Mini-Con 2010! More of the same, only bigger and better! The convention will be held in Aalborg in northern Denmark, with NTFA co-founder and staff-member Fighbird as the main organizer. Connections are great - you can get there by air (there's one bus going directly from the airport to the location for the convention), by train, and of course by car. If you live close to Oslo or Gothenburg you can take the ferry over to Hirtshals or Frederikshavn and then the train the rest of the distance to Aalborg. And if you live in southern Sweden, you can go by the Øresund train to Copenhagen and then switch to a train to Aalborg. It will once again take place over the span of a weekend - the question is, which weekend? We are choosing between five dates in May and June, and now we want your input on which dates would suit you the best! Click on this link to go to the poll (you need to be logged in on the board to vote) and give us your answers! And feel free to give us your arguments for and against a certain date in that topic - we will consider all serious opinions. (The poll will remain open until 24:00 on 14 October). Are you interested in contributing to Nordic Mini-Con 2010 somehow? Perhaps you want to sell/trade at a dealer table, or arrange a panel, competition or presentation - if so, please contact the NTFA Staff, either via a Personal Message or e-mail to one of the staff members, or via the contact form. (Information on prices and how to register for the convention will be posted at a later date.) Click on the link above for more info about the convention. |
