It’s been a while a rumor got some attention. Can’t blame, with all those toy leaks… there was no chance for a rumor to survive… everything was solid with facts (psst… we even learned the true identity of a certain Mack Truck. Talk about spoilers eh?).
So, let’s turn the Rumor Mill. TFLAMB is reporting that an anonymous source is saying that Mr. Michael Bay (Director of the Live Action Transformers Movie) has chosen another song from the hit rock band Linkin Park for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. This time from their latest album “A Thousand Suns”. The song in question is “Burning In The Skies”. Many TFW2005 Fans speculated that this song is a good choice for Transformers 3. Since this is a rumor… keep it as such till we get an official confirmation from Linkin Park or Michael Bay. You can listen to a sample of the song via Amazon. |

Fans were kind of worried whether or not Transformers 3 will receive an IMAX version? (3D yes, but IMAX... That was the question). ComingSoon.net has the answer.
The IMAX Corporation announced today they've signed an agreement with Paramount Pictures for four tent-pole movies being released in 2011 to be shown day and date in IMAX(R) theaters. The four movies are J.J. Voice actor Tom Kenny is back to lend voice for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. He previously voiced Skids and Wheelie of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In a recent interview Mr. Kenny spoke about Director Michael Bay and Transformers 3.
"He's been known to make grown men cry, and I don't want to be the next one," Kenny told PopEater.com recently, when he had to hurry off the phone to resume Transformers 3 recording sessions with Bay. Transformers: Dark of the Moon unites both Mr. Kenny and Mr. Fagerbakke, the voices of Spongebob and Patrick respectively. Most famous for their work on worldwide phenomenon Spongebob Squarepants cartoon series, Mr. Fagerbakke even voiced Bulkhead of Transformers: Animated and Mr. Kenny is Starscream of the same series. It is rumored that Bill Fagerbakke is a voice for a Wrecker in the third movie and we can safely assume that Tom Kenny will take his place as Skids and Wheelie for the second time. |

Back in the early days of Transformers, when the line proved a hit, Hasbro licensed a series of toys from manufacturers other than Takara to swell their product line. These toys were never featured in the cartoon series, and rarely got any attention in the comics of the time either. Two such characters were Roadbuster and Whirl! Until now, we have only had their packaging bios to go on, but little by little, their full length "Transformers Universe Who's Who" bios have been coming to light thanks to the sterling efforts of Jim Sorenson. We've seen Roadbuster's full length bio previously, but you can check out Whirl's extended bio over on the Disciples of Boltax blog by clicking here.

By visiting issue.com you may read the online edition of Toy News Magazine January 2011 featuring some info about upcoming Transformers Merchandise. Although the info available is very little, we have with us what may possibly be an image of Transformers: Dark of the Moon Bumblebee.
This month’s issue focus on upcoming UK Toy Fair and it shows what merchandise we will get from Hasbro this year. The Hasbro Advertisement features Bumblebee in a starry backdrop similar to the Packaging Art seen before thanks to various leaks. “Hasbro 2011” trademark can also be spotted. |

The magazine cover is designed with Transformers: Dark of the Moon Packaging Art in mind. Those who saw the previous Megatron leaks will immediately recognize the Magazine cover as the starry universe pic from the packaging. UK Toy Fair 2011 will be celebrating its 58th anniversary from 25th-27th January, following its return to Olympia's Grand Hall in 2010. More scans from the magazines after the jump. |

Joining the recent Hologram Mirage knock-off, it seems Botcon toy knock-offs will continue to flood auction sites everywhere. KO Toys has revealed their latest KOLD knock-off from the Classics Voyager Optimus Prime mold. Joining the former Crystal, Nemesis, and Black Convoy bootlegs, we now have a Shattered Glass Optimus to look at, complete with purple Autobot sigils, and "till all are gone" tampographs. Keep in mind that these are knockoffs in no way endorsed by Hasbro/Takara-Tomy and as such are not subjected to their same tolerances of manufacturing.

For those following the recent third-party seekers being sold in yellow, orange, purple, Thundercracker, Starscream, and Skywarp varieties, the name CHMS should be familiar. That same company has now cloned it's first Animated release being Arcee in Takara-Tomy colors. She will be sold complete with card backing, so anyone looking to pick up a genuine release should be aware there is now a knock-off soon to flood the market. The pictures on Ko Toys show an unpainted factory sample. Keep in mind that these are knockoffs in no way endorsed by Hasbro/Takara-Tomy and as such are not subjected to their same tolerances of manufacturing. Once the production run is shown, we will be updating this post.

Yahoo Auctions, Japan again reveals another possible Transformers: Dark of the Moon toy. Judging by the looks and the MechTech gun, this could very well be the new Deluxe Class Starscream mentioned not too long ago.
. If we compare this mold to the previous Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Class Starscream, there are no visible hands behind the F-22 Raptor Vehicle Mode. However, nothing is confirmed regarding this figure. We will have to wait till more information surfaces. |

Big news, UK Transformers fans! Auto Assembly, the UK's biggest Transformers convention and home of many legendary tales of crazy shenanigans, has released their first update of 2011! As you may recall Auto Assembly 2011 is being held at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre on Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham, England over the weekend of 12 - 14 August 2011. You may also recall that confirmed guests include Transformers comics legends Simon Furman, Cat Nichols, Liam Shalloo, Jason Cardy, Chris Carter and the one and only Simon Williams. They will be joined by the legendary Transformers voice actor David Kaye, yesssss, voice of Megatron in Beast Wars and Beast Machines, plus Armada, Energon and Cybertron, and more recently Optimus Prime in Transformers Animated.
David Kaye also voiced Grimlock in Transformers Animated and this is big news because, by popular demand, 2011 the year of the "double 1" will feature double Grimlock! This year's Auto Assembly will see David Kaye be joined by the one and the only Generation 1 Grimlock, Gregg Berger! For those who have had the pleasure of meeting Gregg and David in the past, you will know what great guys they are to meet. If you've never had the chance to meet them, this is your chance! Auto Assembly is also famous for its charity auctions, and the 2011 charity auction promises to be truly epic. Last year Auto Assembly raised £2,200 for charity and it is hoped that this year the good form can continue with signed photos of many of the legends of Transformers up for auction including Frank Welker, Peter Cullen, Corey Burton, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Casey Kasem and lots more! All this and many, many hilarious stories are on tap for Auto Assembly 2011! Put it in your calendar - 12-14 August 2011 at the Birmingham City Centre Holiday Inn on the Smallbrook Queensway in Birmingham, England! That's the end of the news about Auto Assembly 2011, but how about 2012? Yes the world might be ending in December 2012 but that means we can still get a few great parties in first, and one for the calendars is August 3 - 5 2012 which is when Auto Assembly 2012 will be taking place at a new location - the Hilton Metropol Hotel in Birmingham! Why is this so exciting? Well, next door is the National Exhibition Centre or NEC, which is pretty much the centre of England for both national rail and international airports! And as if this is not enough - the price of a weekend pass will also be reduced for 2012. Mark it in your calendars - Auto Assembly 2012, August 3 - 5 2012 at the Hilton Metropol Hotel, Birmingham. |

Thanks to two new auctions of Yahoo Japan, we get new images of the forthcoming Decepticon Suburbans stated to appear in Dark of The Moon. Apparent mold and detailing differences give credence that these are two different size class toys. The pincer equipped one seems identical to the previous deluxe images we have seen, while the other is probably a Legends figure because of it's wheels and panel gaps.
