"Transformers" has made it to the Time Magazine’s All-Time 100 Greatest Toys list, today.
"It wasn't tough to be excited about Transformers as a kid in the 1980s. Magical alien machines that could be reassembled to assume the identities of everyday automobiles, they were adapted by Hasbro from a pair of Japanese toys from Takara: the Diaclones and the New Microman. With a slight redesign and a new story line, Transformers hit the American shores in 1984." Transformers is not alone. Hasbro’s My Little Pony and G. I. Joe also made it to the 100 most influential toys from 1923 to the present. Check out the full list at Time.com. Congratulations Transformers! P.S -It's Michael Bay and Garry Chalk's birthday as well. Happy Birthday! |

After being teased all week, this is the Botcon 2011 news you've been waiting for! Wildrider, the fourth member of the Stunticons is revealed in all his glory, complete with new deco and remolded head. He uses the Blazing Lockdown variation of the Lockdown mold, which means he has the chainsaw accessory in addition to all the other good stuff.
As an added treat, we share with you a rumored possible lineup of Botcon exclusives, courtesy of boards member Mach. Since he posted this rumor over a week ago, he has been right on the money about two of the Stunticons, Drag Strip and Wildrider, so take it as you will. For those of you who don't want to know what the other molds are, stop reading now! Otherwise, read on and join in the speculation... |

Amazon, who helped us findout the name of the movie and snippets of the movie plot, is now revealing Transformers: Dark of the Moon Novel by Peter David.
We knew it was finished. But, this time we are looking at the price and page count. It’s not “Harry Potter” large… 400 Pages, but it is much larger than the previous novels (336 and 304 pages respectively). Priced at $7.99, the book will release on May 24, 2011 by Del Ray. |

Larger images from the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon Video Game has surfaced, thanks to Daily Blam.
We’ve seen images before. But now we can take a look at them more closely. Update: Thanks to many members, for informing that the "Human" images look similar to Call of Duty: Black Ops by Activision (same people bringing you the DOTM game). It is unsure whether this is a part of the game or an error on Daily Blam's part. Update 2: High Quality Images thanks to Movie Web. Take a look at the images, enjoy and leave a comment… |

"Destroy first, think later." That’s the motto of Transformers G1 Triple Changer Blitzwing. But the question is, is he in Transformers: Dark of the Moon?
TFLAMB has posted an image rumored to be from Transformers 3, clearly showing the silhouette of Blitzwing. We are yet to receive a confirmation from Michael Bay, Nelson or Paramount/Hasbro. Till then, treat it as a rumor. |

Great stuff this month!
The obligatory Classics Dirge upgrade set that converts your Generations Dirge to a more G1 looking figure: Dirge Upgrade Set. Additionally the much-requested set for FansProject Protector, which has been in development for many months now. It's a two part set, with Sheet 1 being for the technical stuff like robot mode details, trailer read-outs and vehicle lights. Sheet 2 is a beautiful, gloss-coated set of photo-realistic flames. All brought to you by Justin: FansProject Protector Upgrade Set. But wait... did you buy the BiS Hot Rod to use with your FP Protector? Are you having a hard time coping with the totally different colors? Then check out our Bis Hot Rod / Protector integration set: Hot Rod Integration Set. And another obligatory set - a retooled and recolored version of X5, X10 and X11 upgrade sets for use on Metrotitan: Metrotitan Upgrade Set. |

Some new images of the Dark of the Moon Barricade have been posted over on 4Chan (NSFW). This cool new version of the Decepticon police car now has a white spoiler instead of a black one - and a bit more white on the robot mode overall - as well as a decent amount of extra poseability and real hands when compared to the original. While the mustache and goatee on the face we see here are probably just flaws in the paint application that will be fixed by the final run, they still manage to give Barricade a nice and diabolical villainous look. Read on to check out our mirror of the images, which includes comparisons with the original and Human Alliance versions of Barricade.

TFC Toys have released some new alternate mode images of their custom Reflector on their t.sina account (requires registration). These new images show off the approximate size of the alternate mode, indicating it will be about the size of a real camera (and apparently it fits real camera lenses!)
Also on show are some unknown resin prototypes of some little custom transforming tanks. Not much known about these guys, but the eagle-eyed Venksta has spotted that these guys seem to have square sockets for Power Core Combiners - possible additional drones for your Power Core Combiner toys? Stay tuned for more news on this and all other third party custom Transformers products. |

We heard about them at a Press Conference. We saw them at the New York Toy Fair 2011. Now, it’s time to check out some exclusive CGI Renders and Art for Transformers: Rescue Bots; Playskool’s upcoming Transformers addition to their already successful Adventure Heroes toyline (about to be known as Playskool Heroes in the future).
Slated for release in August 2011, “Transformers: Rescue Bots” is the successor of Transformers: Robot Heroes. Based on the same concept as Superhero Squad and Hero On-The-Go, Rescue Bots mainly focus on educating children regarding hazards and safety. Official Description: "Anything can get done when Transformers Rescue Bots and their friends team up! Help fight fires, flood and crime, or anything in between – the Rescue Bots love adventure and rescue!" The initial team of Autobots for the line consists of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Chase The Police-Bot, Heatwave The Fire-Bot, Blades The Copter-Bot and Boulder The Construction-Bot. Human figures are associated with various rescue tools and colored accordingly to a certain Autobot of the same line. Additionally kids can collect playsets known as (but not limited to) “Fire Station Prime” and “Bumblebee’s Rescue Garage”, very similar to the previously mentioned “Hero On-The-Go” packs. We say a hearty “Thank You!” to TFW2005 Member Matrix Soul for providing us these images and we do hope that you all will enjoy and say a few words about this upcoming line. Take a look at the Concept Art, after the jump. |

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is about to hit the theaters and companies are pretty busy with tie-in promotions.
If you spend over 3000 Yen on Autobot Alliance figures (or Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee or MP Rodimus Convoy) at Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Akiba store after 5th of March, you’ll receive a Minicon figure. The toy you’ll get is Micron Spoilsport, a repaint of United Targetmaster Recoil (reverse color). You knew him before as Airlift of Power Core combiners 2-Pack consisting Skyhammer. We have these Promotional Campaign images and information thanks to Autobase Aichi. |

Some significantly better photos of the upcoming Generations Warpath have been posted on Ebay by Ebay user cle10177. These images for the first time show Warpath in both modes, correctly transformed and in a decently high resolution to properly appreciate the robot's design. Warpath is looking very faithful to the spirit of his past toys - all two of them - and his past non-toy releases as well - all two additional ones of those. What is nice to see is he appears to be taking everything that worked well from the outstanding Legends Class release, and adding some more bulk and definition to areas like the arms in this version. There's also a pleasing abundance of 3mm clips to plug in additional weapons if you so choose.
Click on the link above to see the original auction or - BLAM! - read on for our mirror of the images. |

NEW TRANSFORMERS 3 TRAILER IS CRAAAZY!!!” …and included a link to the previously seen Daytona 500 TV Spot posted to YouTube by TFW2005 Member Knightwave. Either the new TV Spot was canceled or Mr. Gibson mistook the Daytona Trailer. |

One more quick update for now before I head off. Power Core Combiners Grimstone and his Dinobots have been out for a while, but are still notoriously hard to find in many areas, which is a pity because they are one of the most solid five packs in the Power Core Combiners line so far (also color co-ordinated if such things concern you). Here for your enjoyment if you've still not been able to find them is the TFW2005 Gallery of Grimstone and the Dinobots, courtesy of 2005 Boards photo staff member thenatureboywoo!
Also in this update is another Power Core Combiner. Leadfoot with Pinpoint has been out a while, and doubtless he's on pegs everywhere, but hopefully this gallery will show you as it showed me why he is such a great toy and worthy of you taking a second look at him. Once again thenatureboywoo does the honors. TFW Power Core Combiners Grimstone with Dinobots Gallery TFW Power Core Combiners Leadfoot with Pinpoint Gallery Stay tuned for more gallery goodness, I think something Japanese will be in store for the next update... |
